In the most recent patch of 2.0.5a, besides fixing the issues of Antivenin (we lost lots of fun…), Blizzard team actually did another major updates in fixing most of the duplication bugs in the game.
About ~90% of the duplication bugs are fixed, it is indeed a good job.
However, there are still some bugs exist. Currently, one major duplication bug is the “Obducite duplication”.
Player A use some ways to duplicate all the gears that he has – and most of these gears are masterwork upgrade to Lv 12. Then he dissembles these gears in the blacksmith. The obducite will be refund to him. The maximum amount of the obducite is 1 Million for an account. If player A has 1 Million obducites, the additional one will drop on the ground, and other team members can pick them up. Now they sell such obducites on RMT websites (~$10 for 100K).
The anti-duplication and bug fixing team of Blizzard (if such team exists) may check the player logs of 1 Million Obducites, and learn how they conduct such duplications. Hopefully, they can fix such bugs before Season 7. Otherwise, the Diablo economy will crash again in next season.

That doesn’t sound like duping to me, but just an exploit of how overflow works.
Duping would be them taking that left over obducite and quite literally making a copy of it, not picking it up off the ground.
Yes, but they are indeed duping the gears (with masterwork upgrade to Lv 12). Otherwise, no player can reach the limit of 1 Million Obducites.
A very sad truth is that, there are already so many duplicated gears on the market. The hacker groups even cannot make money by selling these gears, so that they dupe them and dissemble them to sell the obducites…
If you run a bot 24/7 you could easily cap out on obducite. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions of them duping gear just yet unless you’ve actually seen them do it or have video proof. If you do have proof send it over to hacks@blizzard.com
You would have far more luck sending the email to them than you would posting about it here.

The key is, if the blizzard team can filter out the players with 1 Million obducites – normal player will not cap out the obducites, and analyze their logs.
They may find out the hidden ways of duplication and fix the bug.

Oh I agree with you, if that is the case. Glad to hear most of the dupe bugs were removed though. Hopefully they’ll fix this issue as well.
They can fix all dupes they want, that will never stop CN players to break the game each season.
The next season will have the same dupes mechanic problem.
Even if 90% of the actual dupes trick is out of the line now. There will be another rift in the system. Like Always.
sounds like a paradox and nothing has been fixed.
They can duplicate masterworked gears and salvage to farm obducite. Same as they duplicated the non tradable Mythic Uniques and salvage to farm Rawhide and Ironchunk, plus the sparks.

No need, the Chinese already put the method in their own YT bilibili, addressing this to Blizzard and ask them to fix it.
The method is two players from different world tier join in a group, one person throw all the gears on the floor and disconnect. When he login back and join back the group, he will get back his gears in his stash and those he throw on the floor will be the dup. This exploit take the advantage of players data only save after certain interval to reduce the load to the server.
Blizzard must have watch those videos hundred times, whether they found a solution to fix this is another issue.

Who cares. The stuff already destroyed the season. The season is already over for most people. There will be all new ways next season. The game lacks any integrity and the developers are too slow to act because they too busy working on season 9.

Blizzard was never interested in this, they always allowed bots and dupes in Diablo, it’s the only thing left to D2’s essence 4: the dupe, in D2R 90% of the players have bots and they don’t do anything, do you think they’re going to do something here?
