Actually itâs not as bad as I expected? The sorceress has sexy outfits. I thought Blizzard outlawed sexy from their games. Anyway, Iâm not sure what a succubus is supposed to look like, but to be honest they kind of fit in with this Hellraiser thing they got going on here.
Iâm not overly concerned if the demons are naked or not, but it was something I noticed. Iâve been playing Diablo 1 lately, so I immediately picked up the little tunics the succubi have here haha Quite the contrast to them being just about buck naked in the first installment.
Personally I think the idea that evil creatures who tempt men with sex and pain for pleasure (One of the quests in Diablo 4) would care about modestly is kind of silly. I think considering the things that have happened at Blizz the last few years they just werenât working in an environment where they could design any thing like that without it being troublesome. Or like a few others have said they may just be scared of offending China or âwokeâ culture. Either way, not the end of the world, but I personally think it adds to the world having the kind of immodesty shock added to all the other evil you are dealing with. To be fair it was much more shocking when I was a kid playing Diablo 1 haha

Blizzard no longer has games in China other than Diablo Immortal. I love your post though. No Diablo game will ever be as honest about the temptation and grit of hell than⌠Diablo was.
Have you seen the blizzard developers lately? I guarantee you most of them are on the same side as the mob.

This is really a minor gripe. Canonically the succubi were always naked. In D1 and D2. I didnât get far in D3 or immoral, both were trash games. so iâm not sure about those. But succubi are always nude. the fastest way to halt a warrior in his tracks is by exposing flesh, wearing clothes would reduce their effectiveness at their job. D4 is an 18+ game which is why they require you to enter your bday for the website and stuff. This censorship feels like that, censorship. These are supposed to be scary demons, how can a succubus that doesnât even show cleavage supposed to be significant?

Unfortunately people are too stuck in the mindset of âDonât care, want my vidyagaemâ or donât think about the broader picture, that they really would be willing to overlook these things.
Heck, Iâve noticed the characters looking very⌠Genderneutral in facial structure so even a big chiseled Barbarian dude has a face that looks like itâs in the starting phase of puberty blockers. Had to make mine look like Eric July (Very black with a big beard) in order to make him look masculine.

A mechanic where the succubus charms the player - forcing the player to run towards them, preventing player from attacking while easily damaging the player would be more effective at conveying seduction than simply having bare breasts.
Ummm⌠why not both?
