Blizzard explain why we are forced to pay 70-100$ to participate in this beta test?

Game is in horrible state, everything fun is getting nerfed or removed. What’s left?

They fooled us into a bait and switch. They said it is a complete game, yet it is clearly a paid beta test. To drive the point home further: they already have TWO expansions ready??!!

Absolute bollocks.

You aren’t. No one forced you to buy the game.

They did not.

And it absolutely is.

My youtube feed is on autoplay for d4, there are some hardcore WHITE KNIGHT would never even consider bad mouthing Diablo streamers on there 100k- 1 million+ sub types, and one after another they are all very frustrated and upset with all these nerfs. Its not the typical oh you nerfed my druid, barb yata yata, it’s genuine complaints.

this isnt good, starting to see some damage control come out with a interview and such, but this is bad publicity.

Nah fam this game is playable, but its far from being complete.
All the buggs, problems with quests, problems with you not being able to cast spells so you have to logg out. getting stuck in everything when riding a horse, unable to jump over obsticles with horse… sometimes mobs stop moving and let you freebee them, and the lack of content (repeatable 5 chores) is not an endgame… along other stuff, nah this game is in beta

Forced?

So Blizzard went to your house and was like
“Bro you got to buy D4 or I will kick your butt”?

Where is it said they the two expansions are “ready”?

Wasn’t it just said they’re both in development?

Or are you considering a content patch an expansion?

They are working on two expantions, bet they are far from being done…

Fools you guys are. If you don’t know that these expansions aren’t just chopped off parts of the actual game that they are withholding for more $$$$$, I can’t help you.

So, you’re guessing. Got it.

The game has decent graphics, sound and combat but only with characters that fight hand-to-hand. Everything else looks like a $20 indie game. The interns failed to deliver.

The game looks beautiful in native 4k with DLAA on an RTX 4090 with an OLED display
:man_shrugging:

I mean obviously it’s not pushing boundaries with overdrive ray-tracing like Cyberpunk 2077 or anything but it’s still a nice looking game.

The game is in a beta. My logic is that if a fundamental mechanism, tooltip, or interaction, is not working, the game is also not functioning at 100%.

This isn’t about the time to hit level 100, how rare drops are, or class balance. This is about the fact that minions for every class not just Necro are not working as intended. Nodes are not working. Skills are not applying bonuses. Drastic exploits or unintended interactions exist on skills as they are meant to be used. Quests are bugged. Progression is gated by bugs. Memory loops exist.

I am not expecting the game to be perfect. But this is the base game. A game in development for over a decade, produced by one of the largest studios, with one of the largest budgets, should not be in this sorry of a state. There are indie developers who release RPGs as or nearly as complex that don’t launch with this level of issues. The player base is right in assuming this is a beta.

Furthermore, Blizzard has said they plan to wait until season 1 to change a lot of what is wrong with the game. Aka, we are in a beta phase of development until mid to end July. Their words not mine. So to those who are saying the game is complete, please explain how the game is complete.

No one forced us ok but they didn’t deliver on what they promised, had to cut other content because it wasn’t finished had to cut more content because it wasn’t tested and the game was finished lol your funny

What content was cut? What didn’t they deliver on?

That is some absolutely terrible logic because bugs have always and will always exist no matter what you do. So by your logic literally every game is a beta.

Paragon board and runes were both cut and both promised to us as build changing things and all the paragon board is a few Xtra stats that’s it, not to mention the glyphs for the most part are terrible further making the paragon board boring

Paragon board is there, and they said they are going to add runes later so, swing and a miss.

So it wasn’t finished right they had to cut these things to make a release date and we can all tell specially after level 50

They won’t address this question. Their logic stipulates that EVERY game is a beta until it receives it’s final patch.

I don’t know why developers make games where you spend more time generating power than using said power. Also, If you’re nerfing multiple builds for each class cuz they’re ripping through your content so fast, maybe there was a disconnect between the dev’s cross communication and you need to up the difficulty of your content / mob density instead of squashing every build that’s performing well. You guys are neutering every build that is fun which is in turn what makes people play your games… Fun?!? Remember that?! Haven’t you dev’s played games before?!
