Blizzard despises D4

Blizzard hates D4. It’s obvious. I don’t understand why something has to be so freaking boring? Why do I need to sit for 30 minutes doing masterworking? Click after click after click. Spending 8000 souls and 3 Billion in gold just to see it never strike twice? And then I gotta go farm for hours on end, doing helltide or hordes opening every chest and fighting the pathetic Bartuc just to see I made back 300 souls and got 1 piece of chaos gear I can’t use? Wth? This is hopeless, you guys continue to comment, continue to beg and ask that it changes, it’s NEVER gonna change because Blizzard hates D4.

You are definitely going to hate S11. I may suggest a break if the game is causing you this much stress though. I’d say check back in a year after the expansion hits. See how it’s doing then and what the latest itemization changes will be at the time.

Good luck out there. Hope you find a game you enjoy rather than one that stresses you out. :+1:

then you will love the new S11 masterworking system where you strike 20 times without adding even 1% to the affixes, only to get a random GA as a “reward” that is basically the same as a normal loot drop fresh from the gound.

according to streamer Marcobioboi’s calculation, masterworking 20 times actually makes the gear -40% weaker compared to S10.

pure foolish masterworking overhaul.

Short answer: you don’t.

Triple crits aren’t required for anything. That’s an OCD issue if you can’t contain your impulses.

Really it takes you 30 minutes?

Which means they’re trying to bring the damage numbers down. Keep in mind there’s more changes to come according to the devs. What those will be is anyone’s guess, but if they’re going for a more methodical approach, making the game actually have some resistance and a feeling of progression it makes sense.

Now the only problem is the game has been gogogo from S2. So to go back to less damage, and enemies taking longer to kill won’t sit well with the player base they’ve been catering to this entire time.

Okay, okay… dramatic… emotional…

But can someone still explain to me how a multimillion-dollar corporation is capable of something like feelings (in this case, hatred)?

Maybe Lil Dude is exaggerating a little? :face_holding_back_tears:

I am all for levelling being slower, monsters offering some resistance and being more challenging to kill. I always found it ridiculous to leave town with a new character and get a skill point just for killing my first enemy.

However, such a gameplay doesn’t really seem compatible with most of the current game activities where one needs to clear packs of enemies as fast as possible. IH is the first example to come to mind, but there are also the Undercity, the Strongrooms in the NMDs or even the Helltides. Just take the season’s journey, every time there are blasting objectives.

Devs put all activities on a timer, designing them for blasting. If they change now the combat system, they need to rework them.

one of the reasons to boycott s11 if you ask me!

100% agreed. The current systems want you to blast, not to take your time. Helltides, IH, Undercity, Pits, Legion Events, World Bosses, Lair Bosses, and Strongrooms in NMD. I may have forgotten something, but every single one of these activities advocates for speed and damage over all else.

Most systems are on a timer, and those that aren’t give you tokens for the timed activities.

We went from trying to attract as little enemies as possible in NMDs to avoid being overwhelmed to using abilities that pulls as many as possible to us to kill them faster.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

This is actually a very important concern that I haven’t seen raised. If player damage is lower, monster density is lower, and monsters are harder to defeat, are the timed events being changed? Will we have to kill less to finish pit levels/infernal horde waves/undercity levels? Or will timers for each activity be increased?

Or will nothing change and completion of higher level activities be confined to a few specific builds like back in season one? Betting it’s this option.

I don’t know are you gripping it too tight? Oh wait I think I read it wrong.

Wait… what… he’s talking about d4?

I think he hates himself for the sinful behavior he’s doing and is projecting it on to d4

You will like Season 11

They are taking out all the anoying MW bs.

Not really the case in this season
Ball Lightning needs an absurdly high amount of plus Core Skill points to hit it’s minimum cutoff for Banish Lord’s Talisman

So you need atleast one or two Triple crits for Ball Lightning or you need to be incredibly lucky and roll GAs for both your Mythics on plus Core Stat and still need double crits on everything.

In the PTR I never saw an issue with this in the timed events. Aside from maybe the outside world and NMD, everything was fairly normal.

IH was packed, Pits were even easier due to the eyeballs from Belial that spawned elite packs. Helltides you couldn’t stand in one place for very long without something hitting you. Even legion events operated as normal. Undercity was more so the issue with Andariels minions sucking away your time that made it difficult.

To be fair I doubt people will notice too much of a difference other than the graphical vomit due to all the new affixes from enemies. Mobs may be more spread out, sure, but the elites more than make up for it.

They probably should never play Starcraft with such an APM.
