Blizzard charging a Full Game Price for Portals

Really? why not put effort on Content instead ?

Wasnt D4 a cash grab for a long time for now ?

Are there new portals?

I feel it needs to be reiterated again that the cosmetics are typically done by third parties. Even if it was done in house that’s the artists jobs not the content creators job. Joe over there is working on content. Bob is working on art. Two completely different teams.

dude, you should take a look around at what games are out there today that really only want your money and nothing else…

D4 is a completely solid full-price game with more than enough content for the money.

other games have to get that right first, especially blizzard doesn’t just drop it but tries to improve it.

what do i care about some overpriced portals that nobody needs? :man_shrugging: :man_facepalming:

I really hope that was irony, because the current state of the game doesn’t justify the full price at all.
It launched half-baked, seasonal content has been underwhelming, and core gameplay issues are still not fixed.
Plenty of free or cheaper games out there offer way more fun and respect for players’ time.

clam down lil drama queen…

d4 has a lot of room to improve yes…

but its not a cash crab scam game because it has a cosmetic shop… :man_facepalming:

don’t always exaggerate so much if you want to be taken seriously…

Nobody said it was a “cash grab scam” just because of the cosmetic shop.
But when you combine that with lackluster seasonal content, missing promised features, and constant balance issues, it’s fair to question if the game justifies its full price right now.

Criticism isn’t drama — it’s how things get better. If people didn’t speak up, we’d still be stuck in Season 1 hell.

Its a pretty old bundle … nothing new

then also write a review that you can do something with,…and not 2 sentences with “cash grab”

don’t start selling the whining as criticism now

Oh, I’m sorry — I didn’t realize I needed to submit a formal essay for you to validate an opinion.
Let me guess, unless it’s a five-paragraph review with footnotes and a PowerPoint, it’s just “whining,” right?

People point out obvious flaws and suddenly it’s crying — maybe take off the fanboy glasses for five minutes and you’ll see that criticism isn’t an attack, it’s just… reality.

But hey, enjoy your overpriced horse armor. :horse::sparkles:

The effort is put into where the money is made.

They do not see D4 as a game. Most players do see it is a game. They are banking millions on that fact that is how players view the product. It might as well be an interactive advertisement at this point.

Exactly! Blizzard looked at Diablo IV and thought:
“Why make a game when we can make a seasonal monetization simulator with cutscenes?” :clapper::money_with_wings:

They don’t balance classes — they balance engagement metrics.
They don’t fix bugs — they fix battle pass FOMO.
And endgame? Oh, you mean the cosmetic shop preview zone?

At this point, I’m just waiting for them to rename the game to *Diablo™: Immortal 2.

That was my first question as I dont visit the shop. Ironic that the people who complain most about shop prices are always checking it out.

Let’s not take credit for Bob’s contributions.

Obviously, but the budget allocated to arts could be slightly reduced and shifted to content creation.

It is a matter of deciding what the priorities are.

So if this is who you think you’re dealing with, then why are you wasting time on “constructive criticism”? Based on this, clearly the only criticism they would be interested in is in favor of improving mtx without putting effort into quality development.

You’re not wrong, but that’s nothing I’m in control of, so I’m just not going to worry about it. I do my part by never paying for MTX in any game. It’s a silent protest, and I fully admit just by buying the game I’m supporting those practices, whether or not I engage with them. I’ve come to terms with this, other people try to fight the tide, more power to them I say.

The Shop in any game has always gave said game a bad look. It’s embarrassing.

Sucks. I wish a lot of the stuff in the Shop was Earnable in-game during the Season Journey or something.

Atleast there’s no P2W in the Shop. Thank Satan for that.

It is what it is I guess.
