Blizzard can you confirm: Neathiron & Ingolith won't be in VoH

I am sitting with 46k Neathiron and want to convert them into Obducite.

According to UN-documented changes you have removed Neathiron & Ingolith in favour of Obducite.

I really don’t want to convert my Neathiron into Obducite before VoH only to find out later that you have changed your mind.

Confirmation would be most welcome.

All the best

I would be extremely surprised if you are not able to convert your neathiron to obducite after S6 launches

Why don’t you just wait a little more to convert once the patch hits?

We already know the answer to this from the ptr they all convert into the yellow mat

They’re all automatically converted to Obducite, you don’t need to do anything.

It’s the blue mat on live.

What ever you know what I meant which is the important part

My only concern is if the “UN-documented changes”…changes

I’m not sure why they would change it. The cost remains the same but converted to obducite. They just removed the necessity of transforming the materials and allow for every NMD/Horde to farm toward upgrading gear regardless of its rank. It’s a good change nobody complained about, it wouldn’t make sense to revert said change.

Great change as long as values are close.

What this guy Ycare said here “They just removed the necessity of transforming the materials and allow for every NMD/Horde to farm toward upgrading gear regardless of its rank. It’s a good change nobody complained about, it wouldn’t make sense to revert said change.”, And also, lets be real. the few who play Eternal compared to the horde (pun intended) of us that play seasonal. Most players are starting over each season with 0 mats, gold, etc etc. and on Eternal, everything you accumulated via season or eternal is going to be there until used or discarded. gear becomes legacy gear (obsolete) The 1 exception being that mystics seem to still hold their weight as legacy gear compared to stats of the season 6 gear. BUT, masterwork will only work up to 12/12 on the greater aspect versions “ancestral” (yes a GA is now the visual to search for when seeking ancestral gear. otherwise 4/4 masterworking is the limit with 1 temper.

the values are the same, from what I understand. This just allows someone who can’t reach level 30 or 60 of the pit to still upgrade past the material they are stuck at, just slowly. i’m surprised this wasn’t done in the first place given how obvious this change is in hindsight.

On the PTR I was able to convert Neathiron. But also, on salvage of Masterwork level 12, I got about 85% return, I salvaged level 12 and got enough Obducite to craft to Level 9 or 10. Not sure if it will change since PTR but I will carry over gear, versus salvaging before VOH just to diversify my craft mat portfolio.

I just hope that my Neathiron and Ingolith will not be automatically converted come S6/VoH. I would like for those two mats to remain as they are and I would be the one to go to the Alchemist to convert them, not the game to do so upon login of my toon.

There is pause for concern for me coz of what has happened to my mats in the past; I don’t want to lose mats I took the time and effort to grind for.

I have been a tad bit enthusiastic with Horde farming that I think I have to stop very soon or else my Obducite will end up reaching the cap - that is, IF the MW mats cap is the same as the Gem Fragments cap (999,999k) once I convert my Ingolith and Neathiron…I just don’t want to lose mats AGAIN. :worried:
