Blizz Build - Prioritize Vul or Crit?

right now, I’m running vul staff + yens. But it is better for blizzard builds to go crit+esu’s instead? Love yens for the dmg reduce and vul since I’m not immortal fs yet. I’m guessing once you achieve immortal fs, you would go the crit build for damage?

You absolutely cannot use Yens for a blizz build in PIT after a certain PIT level. You have to use Esus.

I tried using Yens for cooldown and i was doing 0 damage to minion’s.

Just follow Acruids build for blizz. I use trash equipment and can get up to 95 pit. I havent tried to further this level in a week or two

Hey Darth. Possible pls to link it; not getting any hits on that name from GOOG. TY.

Here is the build. The paragon board is questionable because some glyphs do not help against bosses, but hey, the guy is 110+ for blizz and much higher for firebolt build.

Some notes here:

  • the guy has perfect gear and plays in season where rng for GAs is much higher. Trade is also better in season
  • a lot of these guys cherry pick bosses. That is how they push higher. For me, the Ursula like looking boss is the easiest because she just stands in the middle under my blizzard
  • use potions. I use attack speed. Not sure if that one is the best
  • roll barb or necro is the best choice. Sorc is too frustrating and infuriating with one shot mechanics. You wont enjoy the game in PIT this season with sorc. Respect yourself, your time, and your peace and dont play sorc

Are you serious???

Why am i not actually that suprised

Yes. Very serious. I had 1 useless GA in eternal after around 100+ cache boxes and getting to level 95 pit.

In seasonal after 1 day of playing, i have 5 useful GAs on my current equipment.

GAs seem to spawn a lot around blood raven. Of course i cannot take credit for any of this. A certain ninja like player is my encyclopedia for s4 as well as all around carrying my character to a level that is playable

Well, tyvm for the info; explains alot of things. Thats not as the game was advertised, unless i missed an announcement or something.

Ive tried the blood raven farm on eternal, interestingly the recommendation was from a similarly ninja-like source, but without a noticeable increase in GA density. I still believed the source was correct and blamed my bad rng, but now i get to blame blizzard for a low brow cash grab.

Ask our mutual source about ‘seed theory’: how some accounts have inherent bad RNG. Rigourous testing has been on this

both if you use Devours Blaze… Also use the control glyph in your build.

Yes to devouring blaze: that is pretty much in all blizz sorc builds. Plus having an Ammy with DB ranks.

No to using control glyph. If my memory serves me correctly, you cant control bosses, so it doesnt work in PIT for the only difficult part. Control is also excluded from Acruid’s build. See link above.

Ah sorry, didn’t recognize his name from Maxroll (always think Norwal); thanks for sharing the link.

I haven’t tried pushing past 80 yet with my blizz sorc, but see he’s deeply invested in the flameshield meta, which I’m trying to avoid. Perhaps I should just give in to the cheese. Would help if I could get Harley already…

Paragon board looks ok. It’s not like we have a true “boss killer” glyph that he’s excluding.

I think the one novel thing he’s doing is running DR via shock crit. I’d considered it, but at the time my crit chance was pretty low. Now that I’ve geared up it on both crit and attk speed (attk speed helps summons so much, woof) it might be worth a go.

As far as respecting myself and my time… have been sorc only since beta, so that seems like a lost cause.  There’s no suffering quite like D4 perma-sorc…
