Worked fine yesterday. I just get a blank screen with music at startup. I’ve tried the following things:
1. Update your graphics drivers:
- Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA or AMD) and download the latest drivers for your specific model.
- Install the drivers and restart your computer.
2. Verify game files:
- Open the Battle.net launcher.
- Select Diablo IV from the list of games.
- Click on the Options button.
- Select Scan and Repair.
- Wait for the scan and repair process to complete.
3. Disable fullscreen optimization:
- Right-click on the Diablo IV shortcut on your desktop.
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box next to Disable fullscreen optimizations.
- Click Apply and OK.
4. Rename the LocalPrefs.txt file:
- Navigate to the Diablo IV installation directory.
- Find the LocalPrefs.txt file and rename it to LocalPrefs.old.
- Launch the game. A new LocalPrefs.txt file will be created.
5. Update your operating system:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date with the latest updates.
6. Check your display settings:
- Make sure your display resolution and refresh rate are set correctly.
- Try changing your display settings to a different resolution or refresh rate.
7. Disable any conflicting software:
- Temporarily disable any overlay software like Discord or GeForce Experience.
- Close any background applications that may be interfering with Diablo IV.
8. Reinstall Diablo IV:
- Uninstall Diablo IV from your computer.
- Delete any remaining Diablo IV files or folders.
- Reinstall Diablo IV from the Battle.net launcher.
