I know there’s other posts about this, however, I want to re-iterate how much the community wants black dye as an option.
The grey is not dark enough. Please introduce black dye.

Agreed and if I’m being extra greedy I’d love more colors in general.
But yes. Proper black would be nice.
Tho I worry that they purposely didn’t add it because it very quickly drowns out detail on the character’s outfit from a zoomed out isometric perspective

honestly one of the few things id say i miss from d3. you had way more freedom there when it came to colours.

It’s funny… in the overall game you can’t see a lot of the details in the cosmetics. In the social window (which is beautiful), you can’t rotate characters to really look 'em over. In the character or inspect-other-player-character window, you CAN rotate your own characters or other people’s characters but the top of the staff is clipped off. Still, we WANT our pretties and our colors!!!

I think there’s lots of room to grow and if we keep asking for it, they’ll listen. I think most things we’ve posted about have been addressed in some way - I think it’s testament to the fact they are listening to the players.
I am hopeful we will see black dye soon

My favorite is how some colour choices make the gear blacker than the black choice…thoroughly tested.

Yesterday I saw a rogue with a dark black chest armor cosmetic and it looked so so good… I wish I knew which one it was ;;
They’re gonna add black. As soon as they can figure out the ideal price model for it.

So true. It amazes me how many more options Ultima Online had, even back then. Black dye, special dye, normal dye, etc. Plus the bank space, housing space… oh the places we could store items!!
I wonder sometimes if Blizzard just didn’t put all the “simple” features in D4 from the start so maybe they’d have something to add (or charge for!) later. Who knows.
The colors in general seem pretty dull to me anyway

Yes please! And the option for black and gold to go with that seasonal horse barding would be great, the current gray only gives silver.

Agreed. Black is a must, especially in combo with red, blue, silver, gold.
They talked talked about why colors are so limited in one of the chats or something. They basically tried all the colors with all sets and the current colors are the only ones that worked well with preserving textures and models or somesuch. The other colors all worsened the quality in some way. I didn’t understand all the technical details but that’s the reason.
