Billion damages on PTR

i was happy when i started ptr. Because i’ve seen damage numbers reduced. But i saw nothing to change when i done pit 100 on ptr. Still chars doing billion damages. Why ? Why we need billions damage?

I hate it when the whole screen is filled with numbers. Why can’t we kill an enemy with 100 damage? Why do we need billions of damage?

You should see the post I made just now -

there is a fix like D3 did.

For 300,000,000 dmg just display it as 30M instead. It is likely a really easy implementation by the devs .

I don’t really care about the damage numbers, I always turn them off because it’s so annoying.

The problem here is that the character just stands there, player eating cake and watching the boss lose life and die. This is clearly the worst development direction ever! :-1:

I don’t know I think the expansion is getting wilder and wilder by the minute. It is hard to predict what we are gonna get with VoH now.

I mean we might as well go full auto play mode like mobile game then right ? haha

As you know, D4 is full of bot-controlled characters. This only benefits them.
I really don’t know what the developers are doing with Diablo 4…

Eventually we might able to get 800ip drops then :joy:

Leave the game on for a week and come back to see if you got anything.

I hit demon it dies or it doesn’t and I hit it again.

By the amount of brain juice in this post I would assume if you had to hit the Enemy 268557656747 times you would do that as well.

The actual problem is much worse then a visual clusterf…

As long a there is a build Spektrum with 1 build doing 1000 of times more dmg ot crippling the whole game.

Terrible enemy balance.
Terrible boss balance.
Bland and boring brain afk gameplay.
Lack of build variety for people that like to play efficiently.
Gatekeep content for people not playing a good build.

It’s even crippleing the storytelling. How am I supposed to feel horror or dread when you can wipe the floor with every enemie including bosses.

I the end is the scaling and powercreep that killed this gene for me. Everything feels out of place.

Kinda like modern star wars. All the people are there. Top notch visuelles. A huge expanding universe. Should be a dream. It suucks though cause got no ein clue how to handle the source material properly

Why only billions of damage? We already did this less. We need trillions, infinite… arrrrr… if we do “the special crit” The Avatar should step out of the blue townportal reading the ARMAGEDDON spell. niahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa HAAAAA (ooops… that coffee was stronk gnihihihihi :woman_elf:)

Thats actually a very good summary. The issue is they werent able to fix it in any of their games.

Pretty much any skill can be used in Torment 1 even the bad ones. Torment 1 has access to all the games content. I am not disagreeing that the skills are unbalanced…the skill and class balance is a mess… just pointing out that nothing is gatekeeped in terms of content for the skills. Torment tier 2-4 offer no new content.

There is still the Dark Citadel “raid”. Funny thing that we can deal bilions of bilions of damage and still need to have at least 2 players.

Yea but the Dark Citadel raid will be accessible at lower torments as well. It’s only for cosmetics + scrolls of temper.

I find it silly they introduce companions, but our companions are too dumb to stand on the switch, so we are “forced” to run it with other players.
