First time this happens to me in d4, but i just sold a rune and the dude tried to remove the gold close before the trade finished lol. Assuming it was a misclick i locked in the offer again, luckily i was fast enough to notice tho.
So yea, if its some person you dont know, expect the worst when trading

This is one of those things where it is good that you post but in turn also sad that it needs to be posted.
I have had this exact scenario go down several times in S7. I immediately stopped the trade and moved on. Even if it was a misclick i don’t need the hassle or drama.
That was a thing in WoW too. Thankfully, because of all the extra buttons that have to be hit for trading in D4, it makes the scam rather obvious, particularly when their ‘lock-in’ screen goes away temporarily.

Oh for sure. I think its good to remind players that some people are scummy like that and to be mindful. I have had people “conveniently” forget to add a few zeros to a number when trading an item for gold.

If only D4 devs and leadership were this creative in regards to the game.
Honestly, if I was playing this season I would give you the gear just for outclassing a whole AAA game company.
Maybe next season. At this point is a longshot at best.
