Beta rewards impossible

How are we supposed to get to level 20 for the beta rewards when we can’t even play the game for more than 5 mins at a time? and then get stuck in a 30min only to get D/Cd again…

For real. They need a quick patch, then extend the time for another two days at least.

No it isn’t that hard, when the game works. Not everyone is as fortunate as you nor has the time to commit that you have. Your reply is absolutely a derp response.

Skill Issue.

I’ve got it.

I just played for 45 min without a disconnect. almost 20 now. but you do realize this is WHAT a beta is for they are stressing the system ON PURPOSE so they can fix these issues before it goes live…why does it seem like no one understands what BETA means anymore…its like they expect the full game.

I’ve come to this same realization… no one seems to understand what a Beta test is anymore…

Just played almost an hour and half and told my wife I think that they fixed the servers and boom. Disconnect. I guess I will watch the Mandalorian.

Because now a days most people just want instant gratification and don’t want to understand the privilege of being in a beta is and helping to point out bugs or stress the current infrastructure

It’s not about that at all. It’s unlocking the cosmetics which isn’t that hard to do if you can stay online and out of queue. We all know what beta means. Putting unlockable items for main game behind it was a poor decision on their part.

You have two weekends to unlock the cosmetics… Just because you haven’t been able to unlock them in the first few hours doesn’t mean you won’t be able to. I played a garbage build because I thought it was fun, and it only took me about 4 hours to reach 20. I also watched the cutscenes and experienced several disconnects / queues.

Stop being a drama queen.

LOL Beta is not about server stability, Its about the in game issues. If this was a start up company then I could accept the issues but this is a established company that has the resorces to ensure stability would work by testing the servers way before hand.

What is worse is games with less backing have the ability of not making you close the game and reline up to enter. Once you enter and you somehow get DC then you get put into a in game que. Instead of again waiting to get in for over 2 hours.

I was DC 3 times with a total playing time of 1 hour while having to wait 3 hours to get back in. I am luck today that I had the time to wait and then got in for a good 4 hours of gameplay.

Then another DC for another 15 min wait. which is more resonable but still why do I have to relog in this should have be fix in Alpha.

I got it, 21 atm, though DISCONNECTED agian.

Dont worry we got a couple days, and im sure bliz will work out the queue tomorrow or extend it a day for everyone to get it.

Tried for 4hrs, still can’t get past the 1st worg. It just doesn’t interact with my character, I can’t attack it and it doesn’t do anything. Nothing else spawns, no NPC no quest triggers nothing.

Queued for at least 8times during this 4hr ordeal, from 15mins to 1hr.

I don’t think it is my PC or connection. Running on ryzen5 3600, 32gb ram with RTX3070ti. Am on 1gbps wired fibre connection.

And here we have people telling us that it is a beta, this is to be expected and we should lower our expectations since it is a beta. How can one expect a player to still be ok when that player spent less than 1% of the time actually experiencing the game while 99% of the time waiting on server queues and battling against bugs and game freezes?

thank you, i totally agree! Being a diehard diablo fan i want to unlock the cosmetics but man, trying to stay online long enough to actually get them is a real pain. It is nice that they gave us this reward to work for but its nearly impossible to get and irritating waiting in queue for 120 mins then 90 mins then 50 mins… only to get maybe 30 mins to a hour of laggy gameplay, its even worse if you are trying to zone in and out of towns and when you start getting close to other players in the game, those were problems in the first closed beta that we had to go through, im shocked it is still an issue.

Beta is to test the game. Server stability is something that should be a damn standard. How many times have they launched a game before? Double the hardware capacity or forget it. They need to stop starting low and scaling up, they need to start high and scale down.

At this point I strongly think they should just give the beta wolf reward to all participants. I can foresee next week’s free open beta will be even worse. This exclusivity is pointless when majority are cucked off because of server and not even the game itself

They should lower the reqs to 5 or 10 honestly. Or add more days to the closed beta.

Frankly, nobody does in this industry anymore. This is an industry now that tries to convince you an “early access” game that’s been out 10 years to the public, for a price, is somehow not release content.

Diablo 4 is way, way, way past anything anybody would traditionally call a beta client. It’s more polished than 99.99% of the games that have ever been released.

What we see today, labeled as a ‘beta’, is a promotional opportunity. And, frankly, given this weekend is a paid for release with rewards for meeting certain goals, then people have the realistic right to be upset.

The whole point of the early beta release is for those who pre-ordered the game. They expect you to reach level 20, and reach a major town on one character for two title rewards that you can’t get anywhere else. Also a cosmetic reward for reaching level 20 on one character.

Here’s the thing, I managed to play for a few hours and I have not managed to make out of the first quest… I keep D/Cing before I can finish the damn dungeon.

I don’t expect this to be a finished game, but I do expect to at least make to the ‘reward’ level and area… can’t even do that
