This whole situation reminds me of pretbc patch where honor was dropping like crazy, ppl had it capped in matter of hours and it was so fun to be part of it. Then they “fixed” it and ppl were mad. One group of mad ppl claimed that it wasnt fair to everyone else who didnt use the exploit and others were crying not to delete the honor. Anyway what Blizzard did was to give us extra week with extra honor rates. I belive its solution to this situation also.
If we take away Uber uniques ppl who got them will be mad, if not everyone else will be (almost cuz I dont mind them having those uniques). If Blizzard would give us one whole day to do it then everyone should find at least a little bit of time to take a part in it and have the same chance od dropping uniques as others ealier today. Game will be poping, world will be alive and everyone will be having fun like crazy.
Its end of s0, everyone will hop into S1 anyway. Let ppl have some fun and reason to back to playing the game.

A few thousand ppl got it vs a few million didnt, i think blizz would want to keep the few million happier then the few thousands.

Crazy how You find so many people on this forum who want rollbacks. Would they literally rather no one have it?
Do they even want it? Why does it even exist if they don’t even plan to be able to get themselves one then?
Everyone deserves a chance to get an item if they paid for the game

Man, if you’ve hit level 100 and grinded your heart out in Nightmare mode for hours on end, hoping for some decent loot, but not a single good drop comes your way, it seriously feels like you’re being cheated.
I mean, who wouldn’t want a rollback in that situation? It’s just plain frustrating.

My suggestion is to make shako a “normal” unique drop from now on, make a better version if they want another “urber shako”.
Or make an NPC that gives you one by trading, lets say 20 uniques.

Why not make everyone happy tho? Taking away their items wont make me or anyone else get their shako faster anyway. Its not ranking game or at least theres no lader for s0 so who cares. Lets have fun its a game let us go crazy.

Just nerf the unique and let them keep it.

Eh, I don’t really care that a bunch of people got a rare unique. Doesn’t really change my game.
It’s the devs response that bothers me.
They are quick to jump on disabling and “fixing” stuff like this. Meanwhile, certain quests have been bugged since day one early access, resistances are still not working properly. Sorcerer still needs work.
This rare unique drop issue could have waited. There are other, more important issues that need to be addressed.
Not sure where their priorities are.

This sounds like the perfect time to introduce this handy 4x Stashtab bundle for only 49,99 with a perfect rolled ultra rare ancestral unique of your choice for lvl 60.
Be it shaco or the grandaddy or whatever floats your boat.
Of course you can buy that pack multiple times, in case you would want more stashtabs.

As far as I can tell, it was barbs and sorc that’s lvl 85+ that were getting Shako because they don’t have anotehr unique helm and it was rolling into shako instead. If they give 24 hours, I’m not gonna have a lvl 85 sorc or barb by then, I was dedicated necro player, I’ll just get 20 deathless visage’s to throw away, this not a good solution.

I think they should make those uber uniques like normal uniques, and add new uber uniques.
problems solved.

Good point Im also Necro main. My point is that soultion that gives something is better than solution that takes things away.
If that were the case it wouldnt be so bad. The problem is that they were handled as normal uniques and just WT4 was enough.
As a lower char you could still obtain them as a lvl 60 ancestral version.
So some people abused this to rush alts to WT4 and farmed the cinders on the main to open the chests with those low lvl chars for more chances.
Yep, I have a necro and have been playing it since pre launch, it reached level 90 like yesterday. As I said in my prev post, they should make those unique items like normal uniques, so they lose their value and they should add new uber uniques later in the game.

A solution that excludes me isn’t a solution man, that’s the whole point, this is a problem because it’s unfair, you don’t fix an unfair problem with an unfair solution, that’s just making a different problem.
Why does anyone want to punish people who benefited from the bug?
What does it change for you?
The fix is easy: move on.

That’s an oversimplification IMO, the whole grind to level 85 is to get better loot and maybe those Uber uniques, otherwise one is dumb to play anything further than campaign. I have a better solution, one can easily quit the game and play other games or do other stuff with their time! like in 10 hours you can watch 3 or 4 movies, read a decently sized book, or anything … you name it.
It obviously matters, it’s unfair that’s why it matters. Your tolerance for unfair treatment is precisely that, just your tolerance. Everyone else is completely justified in feeling bothered by this.
Furthermore, it’s not a punishment to fix a situation where people gained something they weren’t supposed to have. It’s just fixing it.
In truth there’s a good reason for items to be rare in games like this anyway, granted it’s entirely debatable if they got the balance right on these particular items, and most would agree they made them TOO rare. Regardless, getting something by way of a bug that completely undermines that rarity is doing them no favors anyway, or at least it takes all the “value” that comes from items being rare, the chase aspect, the pride of getting it etc, and diminishes it completely.
Saying they benefit from getting it from a bug completely overlooks those nuances and how their overall experience of those chase items is now a lesser experience moving forward, and in exchange they gain more power forever on standard realm, which again is a double edged sword and may make them bored sooner than otherwise.
Furthermore, if your argument truly is in the camp of, “I don’t care about the rarity benefits, getting a cool item is more valuable to the average player” then your argument should be in favor of everyone getting the item, so no matter what you’re just wrong here to want the current situation of a few people to have them from the bug and everyone else to have nothing.
if they start seasons without makeing this right im not coming back. I don’t care if it’s jus ton eternal realm, if they can’t handle it properly now they will never handle anything properly in the future.

I mean they did the same thing with Aspects, and MF on NM sigils. What makes you think they are going to do anything different in the future. They literally have a history of doing this at this point.
