What do you all recommend here as a rebuild of the Sorc to get ready for boss farming?
I’m currently in pre 1.1 ice shard / blizzard build which is feeling highly lackluster in single target. Any suggestions from the wisdom of the crowd?
If it’s a boss farmer, that eliminates Blizzshards completely.
I’d recommend a Hydra. A conjurer, or pure Blizzard with burning dip and conjuration.
Shards are usually low damage and not worth the points for pure bossing.
So hydra still good enough after the patch changes in your opinion?
Hydra will remain the strongest single target in the game for sorceress, unless the buff to frozen orb gives birth to a stronger build. And I doubt it. Tho it is not far behind with some multipliers you can get from paragons.
Pure Blizzard is always a sure bet, it was destroying always.

My challenge right now is the ammy I have best glacial aspect on has no movement speed so it’s just soooo slow to play with.
Anyways, thanks for the tip, will re-look at blizz only (dropping shard) and maybe add hydra into the mix. Just gotta get through rest of the mobs now…lol.
There will be a lot of hybrid builds coming. Keep your eyes open. Hydra suffered from AoE. The only reason it was not very friendly to play. Even with barber, the AoE was… ugh. But Blizzard, it never disappoints.

you need materials to summon him and he wont be as strong as uber lilith who will be weaker than before so probably won’t matter much, although if people still use eachothers mats or theyre silly abundant…

Since its will be S0 build Ice shard will be meta, if Duriel don’t move too much then blizzard can destroy him, Chain lightning i think can be viable with change to S1, i don’t recommend conjurer like hydra since the bug fix i don’t think they will be good.

If you can facetank him with 85% poison resist and the new healing power, then I’d probably just go with Arc Lash build just to make it a face roll.
Which one is the new healing power? I must have missed it.
Also generally, I’m thinking maybe the best way to do it is one dedicated speed farming alt to get the mats, then everyone else configured in single target to farm rotating through until that character gets the item.
I’m trying to decide if Sorc or Rogue will be the lead speed farmer. If helltides…then probably Sorc will get the job!
