Best Naked sorc cold build(no items needed) 💗

Hello everyone I made a really fun build with sorc yesterday that just keeps spawning minions and and makes you feel like a necromancer really fun

a lot of damage, viable for mobs and especially bosses, also a ton of damage reduction, the build is not even optimized with items and very powerful, you can do it naked, strongest naked sorc build

adding the skill allocation in case more people want to see which skills were used:

Hah, welcome to the club. You have a few things missing and a ton of room for improvement

feel free to list them as long as they are not legendary items

I’ll see if I can get a better look at your talent tree in the video.

The only problem is that giving away a build is some real worth + if everyone starts using it then the nerf-hammer comes out :frowning:

Items aside (which are huge, btw) I cant see your entire tree in the video, but it seemed you were low level and by default you would be missing some very important features of the build with possibly having some unnecessary talents assigned out of our tiny 26 point budget.

The core of the build is the feedback loop with ice blades though.

I played a similar build but iceblades are good for single target dmg only. They are not so good against things that run around. You cant rely on just them or shards for fast clearing.
No need to super max out cooldowns as iceblades are capped on 6 anyway.

Its great single target but i feel like storm or fire will be a better all around build

you can get crazy strong with hydra with the right items and build, but the thing is not everyone are staying in the beta for that long to farm items and its a great build for that reason

Having said that, you get so many of them you don’t need much AoE, and you got ice shards and your basic skill for it that both do AoE and can even go vulnerable frozen orb for extra procing if you wish, I hate icebladdes as well at the start, but i noticed how strong the passive and decided to make a build and was not disappointed, you should try it first

yeah I hate when that happens, but it seems everyone are saying sorc is op compared to other classes at the moment, and they are probably going to look at her no matter what we do

I was level 25 at the end trying different build throughout the video, there are few ways to go about it depending what you are looking for the most

I had max points, plus some of those skills you see are from items, not assigned points as stated in the video if you watch all the way through

i got an item on my wizard for double hydra cast and since then i weent fire skill and focused on burn damage and all i had to do in that same boss was cast them and move arround toke very little to no efort to complete it, i think maybe a good solution “maybe” would b make thouse “pets” targatable by the npcs so they can b killed fast. and you have to b more tactical about placement and recasting once they die

made a big response to both the points above but the post got deleted I don’t know why, I took so much time to respond to everyone :frowning:

maybe you had one bad word or typo or something that triggered an auto-censor filter??

maybe, but i answered everything, and some of your question are answered in the video if you watch until the end, I can’t write it all down again T.T

Far from the truth  soooo very far.

Besides, your focus should be on 1v1 elite/boss combat anyway, which is typical for something like Ashava or end of dungeon. They work great on that and with proper spec the build can handle aoe/trash clearing quite well.

Me trying to keep it as much of a secret so that the nerf hammer is not brought upon this jewel but oh well.

Blizzard makes sorcs OP in another Diablo game.

One thing I’ll say is you can replace your basic attack for another cooldown/summon (lightning spear). It wastes the 2 skill points required to advance beyond the basic node, but its worth it for me since with equipment I don’t have problems cycling through other 5 cd’s while maintaining mana for ice shards. Might not work for you as a naked tho.

Not sure, 1v1 doesnt sound too speedrunny. You will get blocked by minions and trashmobs. That is not the build for paragon rush.

That’s a pretty good idea, I thought about it but my basic attack had a lot of AoE at the start which is why I kept it, but the more you level it would be a good idea to have another cooldown!, amazing suggestions

Yeah but you dont want to use hydra because it is not a cooldown and consumes mana instead. You only want 1 mana consumer unless you have some godly amount of mana generation hehehe…

One thing I didnt get time to look at was using a different ultimate instead of deep freeze. While DF is great utility and the long cd works with the loop, half of its damage or so comes from the final explosion and id rather be spamming off other cooldowns and shards in the meantime, so i usually just pop freeze on and off right away for the blades spawn and maybe to block an attack, i dont leave it to run the full 4 seconds.

The other ultimates should have similar cooldown values and probably can be a 1-off cast for their damage, but again I very much like that ‘out’ card that DF offers if I get into trouble with being injured or a status effect

Fire ult was a lot better on beta lvl25 than deep freeze. DF is pretty much wasted time, its more like a pvp / hardcore thing, until you stack too much cold/frost skill dmg.

yeah I thought about it too, there might be an end game item or paragon point that allows you to just click the skill to do a full attack right away so we need to wait for launch

that post was reinstated  , scroll up!

I saw that and guessed it was the one you were talking about
