If you want to make the best in game economy in the world and add excitement to the player base and game. Just add Crypto to the game economy.
The words “The Golden Generation” will fruition to life in D4. The game will make so much money and people would be playing the game for a living making money from it.
Obviously all balanced out fairly.
Generate real wealth for D4 and for your player base.
Imagine each item tagged with a D4 crypto coin and traded in real life for real $$$.

The problem with that (and why they ceased RM AH in D3) is three letters: IRS. The day the IRS rules affecting virtual currency the same as real currency went into effect, the D3 RM AH shut down. Absolutely not a coincidence!
Anyone generating enough money that’s a US Citizen will need to be issued a 1099-K. Blizzard isn’t going to do that, and crypto currencies have their own rules as well.
“Investors” in crypto would do well to get a sound understanding (or source of advice) on the security exposures before taking any substantive position.
Sanctioned states funding war machines through to garage/basement ops with eyes and hands on this space.
Please no crypto in D4. I’d rather this doesn’t get anywhere near pay-to-win.
