So people dont play eternal. There really is zero point. My friends and I currently play to complete the season and nothing more. We log out! WHY THOUGH? Well, once you complete the season journey there is nothing new to do. We could add paragon, but get almost nothing and boards are capped. We could add paragon for Xp and try for lvl 300 but the XP scaling is terrible with people not running pit 150s. We could keep hunting perfect gear even though the crafting system is terrible (amount of investment needed onlyh to lose it if you find an upgrade), but there is no point since the season is done and XP… and new things to do stall at about PAra 225.
So 90 percent of us log out and done until 3 months pass.
BUT… how about this… IF you complete the season journey, or other benchmark, you are given a mailbox reward that you can send 1, ONE item to your next season stash/hero.
For me, this would give me a reason to try to keep hunting that 1 in a Billion item knowing that it is still usable and not trashed after the season ends. This shows some respect for the player who plays a lot, because that 1 of a kind find HAS VALUE.
I know right now mu season is done and spending time hunting items has no purpose since even if i find it… I will probably quit soon after.
I think this idea is a game changer and I hope you do also. It gives people a reason to care about your eternal hero and stash… you never know what Item you might want to gift forward to the next season. This would be a huge thank you for the players login in every season.
*Of course item should keep its tempers/master working/runes ect so that It is Account bound and level 60. When the new season starts. The player logs in and moves the players to the eternal realm and drops the item into the mailbox. When they log in to the season they can open the mailbox for the item and the mailbox disappears.
