With the most recent buffs and nerfs, which of these builds is the best for solo play in season 2?

I kill Uber Duriel and blow up NM90+ with whirlwind dust devils. Maxroll doesnt use that one yet.
I wouldn’t entirely trust Maxroll at this point, some of the initial S2 crap they put up was basically recycled content with a few tweaks. If you really want to see what is actually pushing the hard content, then check out some of the active streamers and their S2 builds.
That being said, there is no substitute hands-on experience. My current setup builds on what I ended up with last season, bringing in the changes from the patch and the new interactions with the vampire powers.
playing ww barbarian now, it sucks, does no single target damage. the balance team is a joke.

Literally spinning around deleting everything i run over from Helltides to NM90+ / all the ubers take less than 90 seconds. Plus ultra tough.
The problem with Maxroll is that there is no PTR for Diablo 4. They are guessing at what’s going to be good. Then they never update the tier lists or build guides. If they do, it’s for maybe one or two.
We need leaderboards so people can copy builds in-game. Not rely on lazy or jilted webmasters.
Honestly, I’m not really willing to put the effort into watching streamers and reading through lots of posts to figure out a good build; I’m just looking for something I can follow from start to finish, even if it gives me only a good (but not the best) build.
If I can get a suggestion on which of the five listed is the best, that would be wonderful. If people have suggestions of good builds elsewhere that are documented in their entirety, that would be really great too. But unfortunately watching streamers and things like that is more work than I am willing to do :D.
Per @Cypher’s suggestion, I’m definitely not going to choose the Maxroll WW build. :D.
Definitely a great build and seems like fun but overpower upheaveal is literally one shotting duriel at this point.
do you want to play upheaval thou for everything else? Kinda blah for fun
Whirlwind being a channeled ability is probably the least interesting Skill Barbarian has TBH. At least with Upheaval Overpower you have to piano key a little bit.
Yes. I play a triple shout upheaval build. I leveled up as thorns.
I really like the big hit barbarian playstyle.
I may give whirlwind a try but ill probably go back to upheaval if i dont see those big hits. Haha.
Its time related. Sure, 1 shot builds are fun. But WW can farm mats 10x faster. I can live with a 90 sec Uber Duriel fight. Plus its zippy & fun. Maybe if I make another barb.
I recall when I played WW barb in the first beta I just couldn’t fight bosses very well. But then Barb got buffed at least a bit since then - is it better now?
The dust devils kill everything. I got my destroyer nm90+ achievement using it. Solo. Lol
What do you mean farm mats faster? Im tearing through nm 50 now at level 70. Ive seen videos of level 100 barbs tearing thru nm 100 super quick with op upheaval.
Is ww faster? If so thats awesome.
It’s how you move. When I move, I delete the screen. Spin around. No stress on my hands or fingers. No button mashing. Just kinda steer the WW around. Good quality of life. Plus its very fast lol.

Nah… maxroll only have one build: 3 shouts. And he doesn’t understand anything about playing solo. The best builds in my opinion to start the season and play solo are:
-Frenzy
-Thorns
They are the easiest, safest and allow you to arrive with a good amount of resources in the endgame to make the build you want, besides they also do the endgame.
In the case of Frenzy, I literally arrived at T4 with 300kk of gold and a bunch of materials. I didn’t need to spend on upgrading items, adding aspects, crafts or anything.
Once at T4, open chests from the season’s event and focus on the build you want.
Do you still need trip shout for WW?
Was dswing nados and im blasting everything but would like to change it up.
@op just play w/e you find fun. I dont think theres 1 build rn you cant optimize to farm 100nmds and murder lilith.
They need to do something about ww fury management/generation. Give better aspect or minimize the laughing amount of affixes in the game so you can actually get it on gear. I mean i’m lvl 73 ww barb and can spin for like 5 secs and i need to basic skill generate. Terrible.
