Best activity to acquire runes?

thanks for any help. i am trying to make the silly dustwind barbarian and need to get the Lith rune.

i am not too far into the game, but i do notice that torment i seems not to drop very many runes at all, and torment ii is better. i am not at torment iii yet. but any advice on best acitivity to get runes would be appreciated. thanks

I have one for free including 1 of any rune you want. Urza#1177. Delivery in about 4 hours.

Under city can be good for non legendary runes and bosses are the best place for legendary runes

I got about 5 Lith runes myself I’m not using, if you need some.

Definately bosses… a couple of legendary runes are rare to drop but keep grinding the bosses. Find a party to rotate bosses if you are short on materials to do a lot of boss runs. If you are not running a spiritborn some groups can get fussy just be aware that can happen. If you come across a cool group that are open minded they are keepers. Put them on your regular friends list.

good advice. i actually went back to playing on eternal realm. but i am gonna try all these ideas out

Did a 2 dozen or so Andarial runs today. Came away with 7 or 8 legendary runes.

Seems like a good place. Now if I only get a mythic to drop…… have the worst luck lol

yea. maybe this is a strange idea, but i begin to think that somebody very close to the top of the design team has a gambling addiction - there is some RNG in all games to some degree, but the tempering, masterworking, etc, is all a gambler’s wet dream.

i find boss runs like duriel best way to farm runes

It’s basic dopamine feed-back loop. The same principles applies to electronic Poker machines found in Casinos. You know the odds are stacked against you but those little wins along the way just hook you right in.

You should do Undercity content for 4-5 runes per run. And when you complete 50 turns you are rewarded with a Tiger…

Undercity with Tribute of Harmony, which is default drop from Pit. Make sure your barb has good movement speed, as the farming process is boring. There is a reason i still have 100+ this tribute stacking in inventory.

If you want farm Blue runes, set torment to 1. As this level only drop magic runes.

I’ve gotten mine from boss runs & Undercity both; I just can’t get a Xol to drop–but I’m gonna keep grinding anyway so one will drop eventually.
