Berserking duration not working?

So I’ve read a few of these threads about questions about berserking duration but nothing actually is in line with what I’m asking.

I currently have a total of +75% berserking duration increase, so theoretically a 4 second duration should last roughly 6.5 to 7 seconds. But it doesn’t, any chance we can get some clarification on how the stat is supposed to work?

To provide a useful answer:

Berserking has a Duration of UP TO FIVE SECONDS. Why? I dont know why Blizz thought thats a good idea. That means your Berserking cant last longer then 5 seconds at a time unless you reapply the effect in those 5 Seconds. The Unconstrained passive Capstone raises the max duration to 10 Seconds. I assume your 4 Seconds form Enhanced Warcry are your only source of Berserkin?

I mean one shouldn’t make assumptions that being said, it was an easier math example then using the standard 5 seconds.

Furthermore what in the F is the point of the of the extended duration if you can’t extend the duration.

Berserking feels lame. You have sources that grant you guarantees Berserking that you can spam for 100% uptime, but unless you take the Berserking capstone, you have to reapply it every 5 seconds. With the capstone, it is applying it every 10 seconds if you boost your Berserk duration. I really despise having to just press buttons constantly. It pissed me off with Torchlight 2 Berserker Ice Shield and Blood Rage. If your skill lasts for 5 seconds and you can cast it every 4 seconds, just make it a damn toggle or something.

Berserk shouls be a Passive to trigger when the Barbarian gains Injured status or Overpowers. Once injured, there would be a 5 second window where you could not gain Berserk again should you heal past Injured status and then gain it quickly after again. The Capstone should give the damage bonus and move it to gaining Berserk once you leave the Healthy status or Overpower.

Other sources should refresh Berseek duration. Berserk duration should start at 10 seconds.

love my bleed berserking build

i use the passive that gives me 3 seconds of berserking from brawling attacks (for me kick and charge) as well as all the other passives for it

i also use the war cry shout (no other shouts) and my capstone passive is the 10 second berserking one

This works great for me, your mileage may vary

Double swing extends the duration

I’m loving double swing with berserk. I have almost 100% uptime on berserking.

What is really funny are all of these % modifiers with ridiculously low values. Like, if my attack Generates 11 Fury and I take 3 points into Endless Fury giving me 5/10/15% more Fury gain on Basic attacks WITH A 2H WEAPON ONLY, it is modified to give me 12.65 Fury, or rounded up, 2 more Fury per hit. So if I am swinging away, maybe after about 18 seconds or so I will fill up my Fury to full.

Berserk Duration is not unlike this as it is being adding to maybe 2 or 3 seconds of Base Value. Considering it is capped out at 5 seconds (10 with Unconstrained, which is pretty worthless because if you are taking Unconstrained, you can guarantee and keep up Berserk indefinitely anyways lol).

The things that SHOULD be % base are Flat and the things that are % base should add flat values.
