I have to say, the Berserk crossover event, when it comes to Diablo 4, is not only a huge let down, but also a major spit in the face.
The rewards are things you can hardly see in-game, they take for EVER to farm, since the items dont get auto picked up, and when you run around farming areas and dungeons, their text often blends into the ground when you kill stuff and move to the next pack.
But that isn’t the biggest insult when it comes to this crossover event, not even by a long shot.
The biggest case of being spat in the face is, that not only do you have the chance to get it for free in Diablo Immortal, there is also several more skins available for all the classes.
From I can find they even got a event boss as well to top it off.
What are the developers even doing? If they expect people to pay for skins that cost 50% of the base game it self, the least could do, is make the event something to be excited for, and something to do in the game, instead of just it being a new FOMO grasp for money, I were actively looking forward to this event, since it would start a little into the season, so I were expecting there to be something extra to do, while farming gear, reputation and level.
I even had a couple of friends there were waiting to start when the Berserk even would begin, but once they learning it was just a shop grasp for money, none of them even bothered launching the game for this season, since it took all the excitement away from them.
I love the Berserk manga, and I love Diablo, but its stuff like this that makes me understand why more and more people are getting feed up with Blizzard only thinking about the bottom line, instead of the consumers they are actually making the games for.
Well it’s had the exact OPPOSITE effect on me. I used to buy all sorts of in-game stuff for WoW, but the prices for D4, the constant locking more stuff behind pay walls (especially compared to D3), and the several months of failure from the devs to restore missing Seasonal cosmetics has made me lose all faith in Blizzard and resulted in me not spending anymore money, which is a shame for a product I used to really love.
NetEase is actually the developer of Immortal. They are also a pay to win environment whereby players spend more money on the p2w and cosmetics than in D4.
Here is a serious question - how soft does someone have to be to get this butt-hurt over something as trivial as a video game? Some of you just cant help but be whiny victims.
While I think “insulting” is a bit over the top, this crossover is certainly underwhelming. Im not paying for those skins and the freebies are so pathetic that Im not even bothering to pick those things up from the ground.
What’s locked behind paywalls besides cosmetics? They aren’t selling anything beside that. Not that I’m defending the ridiculous prices of these skins it’s absurd, but, it is only cosmetics.
This is the worst argument to make.
We paid for base game
We paid for dlc
We pay 28$ for a single skin
This is not an indie developer this is freaking blizzard, they have the freakin money my guy.
We got ripped on this. Author is right 100%.
Why is it the worst argument? You don’t have to agree with me, however, I am not going to let some company with lousy looking SKINS ever make me consider being insulted. It is a GAME, the collab costs you nothing unless you “choose” to spend it.
As for me, I got what I expected from my money in the purchase of the game… That expectation was a D4 game; nothing more, nothing less.
