28 USD for EACH skin that only applies to one class - you guys at blizz are WAAAY off the mark. i wouldnt mind paying 28 USD for ALL skins in the pack and if they also applied to all classes (just slight variations per class).
this feels like a low effort cash grab. I’ve never paid for a skin and from the looks of it I wont ever since the corporate greed seethes out of activision-blizzard games.
I’m a working adult in my 30s with a family, i can afford the skin, its not about being broke, its about the principle. i feel like im being ripped off with the premium skins and reliquaries.
Blizz, stop farming whales and actually try to provide value to everyone.

Well don’t play PoE then if you think $28 too much. Try $80 plus, and that’s not even a supporter pack, just regular ole armor you can buy from the store.
thats technically not true - POE2 is in early access and when it releases it will be a free to play game with microtransactions… but yes, i dont play POE2.
however, Expedition 33 is 50 USD, thats 2 skins. hell, Vampire Survivors is a 7 USD game.
think about how much content you can get for your money.
the skins are not worth it, no matter how you try to slice it.
It is true, there’s multiple sets of armor you can buy for over $80. There’s the sinnocence armor, black/white armor, and a bunch of others. Also try $64 wings.
People buy these things because they love the game and want to look bada** playing it. Sure you could buy another game or 5 for that amount of money, but are you actually going to play those games over this one?
Look I’m not saying Blizzard is a good company or that they shouldn’t make more content. Just saying this MTX pricing is mild at best, there’s far, far worse done by much more well regarded companies.
$500 golden arhi skin says hello

i agree with you on there being worst offenders right there, but two wrongs dont make a right.
i want blizzard and the diablo franchise to succeed, but i feel myself and most people would agree that it feels like a ripoff.
i hope blizz can turn it around and actually offer reasonable value MTXs while also creating great content. This season has been far from stellar, but thats a topic for another time.
Also the diablo 4 skins are tied to 1 class. POE etc are class wide, correct?

I mean if you’re looking at it logically, yes it is a rip off, same thing with the battlepass and most MTX in general. It’s for people to look superior to everyone else, and for a lot of people that’s enough to warrant a purchase

Yeah PoE armor you can use on any class except for some very specific fringe armor sets.
so we’re in agreement - they are milking the whales and are not catering to the majority of the player base
I guess I can stop worrying about manually picking up a currency that only drops in single increments and my pet is unable to pick up for me.

They are milking the whales, as is every other game that has microtransactions. What I’m trying to say is the MTX prices in D4 are actually pretty low. My opinion on Blizzard and the D4 dev group is another talking point entirely.
Hint: I think they’re really bad
i dont disagree, D4 has been a disaster since launch, however i like the fact that they listen to feedback. They’ve sent multiple surveys over the months and i’ve responded to every single one, here’s hoping they see these types of posts too and actually incorporate some of that feedback in future changes.

Sending out surveys costs nothing, and it =/= listening to feedback.

Same as the battle pass…dont like it…dont buy it.
Blizz logic, if you think the skin is expensive = your not the target audience.

That’s not the point…It’s all disgusting.
Blizzard looking at Ubisoft and EA and were like…We can do worse.
Just to think…Microtransactions and over pricing was caused by horse armor DLC…Thanks Todd.
Strictly untrue… there needs to be deep, deep overlap, or it’s not worth the studio investment. ‘Good’ marketing is all about separating conflicted customers from their money. That’s the whole philosophy behind the tiered/gacha MTX schemes (old & new) in the first place.
For the conflicted ones, the “it was worth it” motto is after the fact, as a coping/survival mechanism. Deeply-rooted psychology, probably evolved as a social lubricant, which makes the whole profession doubly icky.
