Yeah no, imagine spending all of that time for a mythic to drop, you get a perfect one only to brick it. This wont do well.
You canât brick a mythicâŚ
You can now!
Did you like your Shako with a GA CDR? Cuz now you can have that randomly swapped to something else, like Life Regen or +Shadow Resist.
The only solution is to not sanctify mythics unless you have a spare.
Yeah, we all get that. But itâs just bad design when the best way to engage with the pinnacle season system is to NOT engage with it.
You must be talking about S11. Weâre in S10 where you canât brick a mythic. You stated âthis seasonâ which means S10.
If Blizzard is going to poo in our cereal, all we can do is reach for another bowl.
If we donât have another bowl, we shouldnât have asked for cereal in the first place.
My bad. forgot to specify NEXT season. So yes you are right, it is not possible to brick them right now.
I see. Yeah, that is really stupid but I can see how it could benefit certain mythics to be less than garbage. Itâs a double edged blade. We should be able to have a âprotectionâ option at the cost of something to block 1 or 2 affixes from being subject to change. That would be perfect!
Maybe Sanctifying should be:
- Pick an existing affix on the item. RNG chance to:
- Make that affix a Greater Affix (only a possible RNG roll if that affix isnât already a GA)
- Replace that affix with a Sanctified affix
- Replace that affix with a Legendary power
- Keep that affix and make the item indestructible
- Keep that affix and add a Sanctified affix
- Keep that affix and add a Legendary power
That way if it does replace the affix at least you picked the affix to put on the chopping block.
Still not a guarantee for more power (indestructible is just fluff, a legendary power could do nothing for your build, a sanctified affix could do nothing for your build) but certainly a step up from losing a crucial affix.
hit the nail on the head there!
You shouldnât sanctify your best item for any slot imo. It should be your second best and see if the sanctification makes it better, then you sanctify the one you are wearing
Mythics should have their drop rate increased, or sanctification should be allowed more than once on mythics
Everything they are doing right now is trying to amend/patch up a terrible itemization system that should have been totally reworked ages agoâŚ
They nerfed the hell out of all the classes. Then they gutted Vulnerable. Then they gutted Overpower.
ALL of that could have been avoided had the entire itemization system been better implemented/redesigned. (and SOME kind of improved skill synergy which we have absolutely none of) I donât know that my ideas would be the best to use, but what we have now clearly isnât really working very well.
And Iâm sorry, but the Rune system is so low effort compared to D2âs.
Welcome to BlizzardâŚ. We love you
Please let us trade bricked Mythics to the unsuspecting. ![]()
Hey Blizzard, I have the best idea ever for a new endgame activity.
Let Players live out their dreams of being Kadala from Diablo 3, selling their bricked items.
I didnt even know I had that thing.
Make selling mythics a summoning event, like summoning uber diablo by selling soj in d2
Most probably they will increase Mystics drop rate slightly.
They might also drop a special item ďźaccount boundďź that you can use to allow repeated sanctifications. But the drop rate would be very rare (e.g., drop from PITS level 100 and above only), or cost tons of mats and gold.
The main intent is to make players grind as long as possible without breaking their hope (i.e., I will get it on the next try). ![]()
They could add a mythical rarity anvil that drops a special usable gift that lets you pick exactly what you get from it and can use at a later time. IT could be something you might only see one or two times in season making it perfect for mythics like old ramalah gift or whatever when it was super rare.
They could allow spark to let you reroll it up to 3 times.
They could increase droprate of mythics at obal guy and in world not from bosses.
