plese reduce the invulerability times of the boss or make him targable like Varshan during his waves-phase … i mean i like he has actual mechanics but he goes from invul phase straight into another invul phase and you are just standing there, waiting and moving a little bit …
Blizzard punishes you for lack of DPS with boredom.
The best way to handle this, Is to be able to more or less one-shot the Beast. I do this all the time on my Minion Necro build. But all classes can do it. Just be on the right difficulty relevant to your power.
nope, thats not doing it for me … im playing to have have fun … there is no fun in: click - summon, wait few seconds to spawn, inta kill boss, collect loot, click - summon, wait few… repeat until you run out of mats … nah … i like that there are actually some mechanics … i like fighting the boss some time but i wanna have fun doin it… im plaing only SSF and once i stop having fun i go play other games until next season
its just beast in ice has horrible telegraphing the first place, every litte poop he does aplies tormented stack compared to other bosses and there is nothing where you can aply you skill in this fight by damaging the boss while dodging the mechanics making the fight feel like “a dance” because he is invulnerable or up in the sky and you just waitin … there is one phase tho where “stars” spawn under you and you have to get out of them but again each mistake aplies stack and slow on top of that so once you get hit once you gonna get hit second and maybe third time and get frozen…
You just stand there and pop him, unless not strong enough.
What is your complaint?
Totally fine with the periods where bosses are shielded, what they should fix is make them targetable (much like Varshan is)
Why ? - keep buffs up & running
Ever tried a Grizzly Rage or WotB build ? - the buff it will expire 10 times over before the Beast lands because there’s nothing to target in between
as i wrote " or make him targable like Varshan during his waves-phase " … for the exact reason you wrote … evety time he “comes back” you have to ramp back up … make him targetable, give him barrier, if you can push thru that barrier you can even damage him

This is the worst boss for me, not counting Lilith. I cannot figure out how to reliably avoid the wind attack that not only debuffs you but unless you are lucky outright kills you when it knocks you out of the middle area. A typical fight with this boss for me plays out as follows:
- Attack boss and quickly remove 80-90% of his health
- Watch boss completely LEAVE THE SCREEN so that he is unhittable
- Get debuffed by wind and barely survive being blown out of arena
- Watch boss land for 0.1 seconds before LEAVING THE SCREEN AGAIN
- Get debuffed by wind again and killed by being blown out of the arena
I for one would absolutely love to see the “invulnerable” phase removed from this fight.
There are streaks in the ground. The diagonal ones present a gap. The criss cross ones require you run to the very far edge of the arena north. If you are near him there wont be any room to maneuver.
the thing is, they have really low contrast with the floor and if your build does ground efects while fighting the adds you cant see s**t

honestly i think beast in ice is the best of the ladder bosses with the best mechanics. i really like him. if you are strong enough you can burn him down before mechanics but if not his mechanics are easy to see and fun.
I don’t mind boss mechanics. What bothers me is instant fail mechanics. Getting teleported to the damage area with no survivability isn’t good design. Torment debuff stacks exist now. Just use those.
Gregoire was pissing me off for this reason. Before you can move the lightning panels zap you.
are you playing SB and ypu can not one shot him or?
I noticed they are faster now as well. Just stand against the bottom wall to the right of the entrance if your move speed isn’t high enough to run out of the center.
