So i had 9 Distilled Fear and thought i try the Beast in the Ice and activated the Sigil.
However a Legion came up and i decided to that first and the Dungeon after.
Legion finished, up to the Dungeon, wait Sigil deactivated/gone!
Is this normal that if you don’t go to the Dungeon asap it deactivates?
No Log out, just Legion.

Yes. That happened with me a few times. I remember activating a regular NMD and decided doing a world boss instead. When the boss was done the dungeon was lost.
I was going solo, no party.

I’ve lost a NMD sigil activated because I went to do a WB, I am guessing it is similar, you just can’t do that.

however what if you have to go suddenly…, come back, no dungeon… hmm
A lot of times at WB and legions, if I group, afterwards it asks if I want to return to my own shard, I forgot the word they use. But I often suspect that is the reasoning, they do some grouping where you are not in your single player instance anymore. It generally is when you group…but I have seen bugs mostly when someone uses incense for a bunch of people.
so dont quote me on this however there are certain areas in the overworld that are instances. such as world boss, legion and strongholds. so i wouldnt think that going to one of those zones should cancel out your nmd sigil but maybe thats what does it?

I made the mistake of resetting dungeons once after activating a sigil and that totally ate it. Maybe that happened?
I did not spend my NM-dungeon points since start of season 3 at the end because i thought i could hoard them and spend them when i want. I lost 100.000 points. Gnihihihihi. Sorry.
I can sympathize. Getting Distilled Fears is a PITA and then have the sigil get wasted would suck. If it is any consolation, the drop table for the Beast in Ice is diluted by a bunch of unique items that you can get from lesser bosses so you probably would not get what you want anyway if it is one of the new unique additions. I have, in effect, wasted 72 Distilled Fear there and all I got was stuff that I already had.
You made a very interesting Point. I did a few runs of “ice beast” and all i got was Junk.
A Boss is a Boss and not something to just kill (at least with my build, which isn’t a Barb one Shot), so a Boss should reward Boss stuff and not standard everyday mill Junk. Well it is what it is, Blizzard will keep punishing People with their Loot System.
I started farming NMD to give the Beast another try. Still chasing the Paingorger’s gloves. ON my 5th NMD. a pair of Paingorger’s dropped. Stats are mediocre but I got a pair. My luck getting them in a NMD far exceeds my results of farming the Boss that is supposed to be the target farming location for them. A couple days ago, I got a Skyfall Coronet. I was farming for Distilled Fear in NMD then too.
I think the Beast needs some attention. Perhaps remove the unique items that other bosses already drop and maybe lower the amount of Distilled Required for the sigil a bit.
I just finished the Loom Dungeon beating Malphas and guess what.
No Unique
No Ancient
No Senegal Stones
I got Sacred 1x Legendary and 3x Rare!
I was impressed of this mega incompetence.
Now make no Mistake, this is a lvl100 Dungeon!!!
What in the deep Hell does that kind of Junk Loot do dropping from a lvl 100 Boss.
I am sure going to use that loot and wear it proud and forever. /sarcasm off
