I was having issues with massive framerate drops since the beta. Most of the time my game would play very smooth, with ~120 FPS on high graphics settings. Although, periodically I was experiencing moments where either my screen would freeze or my frames would drop insanely low; for up to 20 seconds at a time. After exhaustively searching for ways to tweak my build I ran across a reddit article where people were saying that the Battle.net launcher was causing issues like mine. I then set the launcher to close entirely every time I launch Diablo 4. Immediately after making this change I saw and incredible improvement. I am no longer seeing stuttering or freezing whatsoever, even on ultimate graphics settings (I had previously turned them down to medium in attempt the reduce the symptoms). The issue has been entirely eradicated by closing the Battle.net app. Please repair this issue! Thank you
Have you tried just disabling “Use browser hardware acceleration” within battlenet launcher settings?
If this also helps, the core problem is actually elsewhere.

I’m trying it both ways. It does seem to help some if I disable browser hardware acceleration, but so far it looks like it’s much smoother if battle net is completely closed.
