I have the ultimate edition, I was under the impression that we could save the tier skips, and use them whenever we want, including even using the 20 skips individually over several seasons.
The official website also says:
Tier Skips are a currency that are applied immediately to obtain 1 full tier in the Battle Pass.
But after I reached tier 70, and wanting to skip to the end of the tier, apparently I’ve already had my 20 skils somehow. The game demands plats to do tier skips.
What is the final say? Have my tier skips been consumed for tier 1-20 without my knowledge?
yes, you didn’t pay attention. 1-20 was unlocked the moment you logged in.
Nope. You had to manually unlock it but that was pretty easy to do accidentally.

Oh wow. That’s very different to what they said, isn’t it? When did it change? I don’t remember getting any confirmation on using all 20 of my skips at once, either. 
it doesnt change anything, whether you unlock first 20 or last 20, you still need to grind 70 tiers.
just keep farming, then uninstall

I did manually unlock something, but I thought it was just the paid track. So it wasn’t the paid track, but all 20 skips in one click that I activated?

The Premium Battle Pass and the Accelerated Battle Pass are different things.
The Accelerated Battle Pass comes with 20 tier skips. It’s my impression that as soon as you redeem the Accelerated Battle Pass it automatically skips 20 tiers. To get the most benefit you need to activate the Accelerated Battle Pass after you already have the desired tier on the Free Battle Pass.
You can, also, purchase the Premium Battle Pass and purchase individual Tier Skips.
Looked up some videos on the issue. Most likely I clicked it some time early on and because there were no confirmation prompts, it never occurred to me that I’ve used my skips.
Ah well, I guess it was my fault for not approaching this game like I would approach scammers.

Yup. The free and paid battlepass were unlocked automatically. By clicking on the (I think) red button you automatically unlocked the tier skips without it asking for confirmation. I could be wrong on the details of this because I wasn’t playing close attention but I think it might have also automatically made people with credit cards on file pay for tier skips too if they accidentally clicked it but they patched this to ask for confirmation.
Anyway I debated using the tier skips or not for a little bit so I know it had to be manually unlocked.

Hm. Do the tiers all require the same amount of “EXP”? I just realized that I have been assuming tier 71-90 requires more “EXP” than tier 1-20.
But if they all require the same, then indeed there is no difference which 20 tiers I skip.
No, the later levels of tye bp require more xp. You get more in WT3/WT4, but it slows down at about 70.
Its 20 skips at the begining not the end so it gives you mtx faster.
true the skips being labeled as a currency could be a little misleading. in the end it doesnt matter tho if you skip the first 20, or the last 20. its not like the pass starts off easy, and becomes harder
I doubt that this will make you feel better but the accelerated battle pass is worthless anyway because most people should be finishing their battle pass from the mob grind alone around level 70.
This is wrong. The paid battlepass is NOT unlocked automatically. To unlock the paid battlepass, you need to do 1 of 3 things:
- Purchase battlepass
- Redeem your premium battlepass from the deluxe edition
- Redeem your accelerated battlepass from the ultimate edition
If you bought the deluxe or ultimate edition, you have to click on the red button in the season tab to unlock the premium battlepass.
However, you can also choose to save the premium battlepass included with deluxe/ultimate. You do not have to use your premium battlepass for season 1. You can save it for a later season if you want. I even got confirmation from customer support about this issue. Here’s the quote from the support ticket:

I see you have some questions about the battlepass in D4. With the battlepass its something you claim in game and it’ll stay as an option to claim for later seasons unless you use it basically so yep you can wait for later seasons if you wish too. It was the wording they used that made it feel like bait. “Battlepass not active, Activate Seasonal Pass - click Big red button”. Instead of “Click this to activate your Accelerated BattlePass”

Hello, can you help me please? If I buy an accelerated battle pass now… and I’m currently tier 70… will it fill me up to tier 90?!
Only if you activate it, which is easy to accidentally do by simply clicking one button with no confirmation.
If i already at tier 86 and i buy the accelerated battlepass do i keep the rest of the tier skips for the next season? (I dont have the battlepass yet)
