I was reading through some information for Season 1, and I found few sentences about Batte Pass and I hope i don´t understand it correctly.
Topic about Battle Pass says:
"If you purchased the digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV and want to redeem your Battle Pass for this Season, navigate to the Seasons section of the Shop and select the option to activate your Battle Pass… "
Does the text in bold mean i can use Battle Pass only for one season ?

Yes. You will have to buy a battle pass every 3 months or so.
They say you “dont have to” buy, but you wont get all the cool stuff that comes with it, sooo…yeah.
90 dollar half baked game. Gonna keep their best art out of grasp unless you pay more.

its a finished, well designed and free product! why dont you want to support the developers by buying their supporter pack ? they’ve been developing the game since late 2010!!!
I have a feeling this must be Stevie Wonder that is posting on the diablo forums.
I don’t mind only being able to use it for a season.
But I wish I could push it with my Eternal Realm character.
I don’t grind 4 hours a day and I’m still quite far from optimizing my character.
And I don’t want to do it from scratch again.
You don’t need to max your character in season.
You just need to beat the season then you can just go back to eternal again

You also bought early access and the battle pass was advertised for seasons only. Learn to make informed purchases.
I don’t remember the battlepass ever being advertised for ‘Season only’.

Well that really sucks … for such price, for this unfinished exhausting to play product it should be able to use multiple times … 100 $ … I should expect that Blizzard will screw up.
Had someone I know tell me that D4 is basically a crappy version of Diablo Immortal. I wouldnt know, refused to put any time into it. But I believe him.
It says battle pass is unlocked with season 1 and it wasn’t a mystery that battle passes are for seasonal content only. If you weren’t sure what seasons were, you could have done some more research before buying.
My advice is try the season and see if you like it, or if you’re that adamant about not doing it, you got value from being able to play early access so your money wasn’t completely wasted.
The ultimate edition you bought comes with only the first battle pass season. Every consecutive season has to be purchased but ultimately they are only cosmetics so you won’t be missing out on gameplay content.
I’ve played many games with seasons and battlepasses.
And among those I didn’t have to do seasons to push battlepass.
So, No it wasn’t obvious that the battlepass would be super exclusive to the season.
Up to the point that you can’t push your battlepass at all with your standard character.
And is it really that much of a problem to allow Eternal Realm characters to participate in it?
I’m quite sure most causal players like me would find it quite a bit too much.
How was it not obvious? Right in the compare editions chart is says “Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock”
That is clear the battle pass would be for seasons.

I’m not saying that it wasn’t obvious the battlepass was gonna be seasonal
I’m saying it wasn’t obvious the battlepass will only be able to be participated by seasonal characters.
