Battle Pass and family sharing

Hey, does anyone has any info about how battle pass will work on console? Say I have a few people in house and we all use same console. Obviously one game copy can be shared by all on console. What about paid Battle Pass? Is it also shared? Or does each person in my family needs to buy Battle Pass?

Well the battlepass is account bound. So most likely each person will have to own it. Even couch coop each person has to sign in on there own battlenet account.

You don’t need own it twice for couch co-op

Blizz news

the second player will need to have their Battle.net and console-specific accounts linked

Battle net acc is free
2nd console acc is free

He’s talking about the premium pass.

Yes, you will need to buy it for each account as it’s attached to your battlenet.

The battlepass isnt free and thats what was asked. Battlepass unlocks account rewards. Hence needing to buy each account its own battlepass.

My point in bring up needing your own battlenet account even for couch coop is that even when playing on the same console its treating each player as totally separate accounts.

Yeah sure, thx for clarifying kaze.

He also asked about both free BP and paid (premium) BP. Should be pretty clear now, with all replies.
