Basic Skills Build

Is there any chance to make a sensible build using only the basic skills? In other ARPG you can. And in many ways.

Especially with the (re)introduction of the vamperic aspects and paingorger, it’s definitely possible.

The viability may depend on class, though

I meant something that doesn’t cost resources or cooldowns. I think we should wait for stronger Legendary Aspects with basic skills.

heartseeker on rogue is fun

My build has 2 basic skills lol (Puncture and Blade Shift)

Ofc, it gets a bit uneffective at WT4 and resource generation becomes less of a problem so will take one out (or both mbe)

Thanks. I will try that druid build.

you can i beat the campaign and am now in T4 using a no core and basic skills build, ultimate is my pack clearer and yeah vampric powers help with T4, rogue seems made for it with the amount of things i can trigger with basic skills, using Markman and attack speed to proc arrow storms etc , it is also good at knockbacks and knockdowns which makes it fun and also interrupts monsters.
Will it be strong enough to reach a t70, not sure at this stage, so at least with my skill/ and current gear i am not there yet at level 82, but clearing high orange or low reds monster levels is doable. So leveling feels fine to me, just not ultra fast the higher i fight. But i am also not gearing as i leaving to hold stats i rolled and save mats for closer to 925 items. So a little bit of intentional nerfing to save mats for later, being a lazy gamer at times i dont play optimal routes only so that too. As long as i am having fun and levelling feels fun and not a chore i am good
Pretty sure most classes have the options but most likely will no be the biggest numbers in the kit, but it can be more tactical and fun to play at i am finding. Just depends.

Is it going to be the fastest clearing or even able to clear all content, probably not idk yet, i also might make mistakes that will cause this to happen this time around. But i am pretty certain i will clear the content that matters. for duriel and at least t70s n/m and such.

For CD skills in the build, kind of hard to avoid, but CD reduction and some proc CD reduction from a affix condition, but you can look for charges based skills, and that kind of thing too. there are plenty of early game apects that work with full resource and basic skills, even inner sight works with basic skills, you just ignore the benefit of energy gains since its not using energy but the legendary node for it makes inner sight viable for basic skills rogue. That is my other tip, look at glyhps and nodes rares and legendries for synergy with what you are trying to build. Apsects and gear rolls are only half the picture in some cases.

The many (many) variations of arc lash sorcerer are a pretty basic build. There are enough aspects and uniques (especially after latest patch) to pack serious power into arc lash and then you just use whatever supporting skills you want to add your own spin to it. I’ve been playing several this season in hardcore and it was great but I’m basically waiting for s4 now.

Stormclaw druid and Arc lash sorc have been viable builds since season 1.
Rogue may have one with pestiulant points and poison.
The other 2 classes don’t synergie well with the basic being able to trigger other skills.

My Eternal Necro (Blood Surge, Corpse Explosion, Minions, Golem, Decrepify, Hemorrhage)

I have leaned to more of my basic skill using Pain Gorgers gloves with Hemorrhage, and buffing all attack speed on me and my minions…and it is going pretty well, I do use Blood Surge and CE also though. But Hemorrhage is held down like 99% of the time.

It is nice because Blood Surge triggers the mark across the room (using Deathspeaker’s Pendant) for Pain Gorgers, I think CE does too (honestly did not check this too closely ).
