after you crit 4 times with bash, does it reset the amount if you bash crit again? or does it stick at 4 times until i decide to hit hota? asking because the number on my skill bar will count to 4, but if i crit again with bash it goes away…that kinda sucks though it it resets
It stays on 4 until you use a skill that can trigger the overpower. Hota triggers it, Steel grasp can trigger it, and any other Core skill or Weapon Mastery skill will trigger it. My guess is you are consuming the overpower with another skill and haven’t realized it.
idk it never seems to work… steel grasp or hota is never blue or red
I always eat it with Steel Grasp, so I tend to use CotA over the HotA variant.
im not even running hota but there is the decimator node too…idk this bash 4 crit interaction doesnt seem to do anything. even the hota varient didnt seem to boost anything and never seemed to guarantee over power. i know what an overpower looks like from hota last season.
Well, when i overpower with HOTA everything on the screen blows up the next time i press bash.
So yes it’s working
It works, for sure, but you have to be careful not to eat it with SG.
I find overall gameplay a lot smoother with CotA or Ironskin over HotA, but HotA is the most DPS available for that slot other than Rupture w/Wanton (2H) on the bleed variant.
I am using chains, Iron skin, War cry and challenging roar on my bar as cooldowns and then Bash and HOTA as the attack abilities.
I just don’t survive without Iron skin and since everything one shots and i can’t use iron skin without taking damage, i need challenging roar to mitigate damage so i then can use iron skin.
This works for me at least, i just splat die if i try to use ancients.
I use CotA on place of HotA with triple shouts. Once you have enough life, Undying goes to work, and you don’t really need Ironskin.
Shako and Might provide 40% permanent damage reduction ontop of Challenging.
Doubt i’ll ever get that, So i just have iron skin aspect on my head instead
Yeah that’s an idea i guess.
Just feels like the 30x from HOTA would be up more often than ancients.
You can make a Shako fairly easily with sparks.
HotA will be up more often, yes, but only if you’re careful enough to not waste the OP on Steel Grasp. CotA also gives 20% attack speed. Neither are really necessary for damage while clearing, unless you’re doing high pits.
Not played since S1 so don’t really know bout that stuff.
Currently i’ve just been sitting in the piyt or helltide.
Currently doing stg 91 as my mat farm stage.
I will try with ancients and see how it goes.
You get sparks from salvaging other uber uniques, but this season you get 1 every time you complete the season quest (Iron Wolf rep) on a new char. You probably have 3 or 4 now.
I farm 100’s in 3-4 minutes using CotA instead of Ironskin or CotA.
