I see alot of lunging strike build. Just wanted to know for those who are leveled up or in T4 if i should do bash/earthquake for endgame? Is it capable still of doing high pit level 100+. I know they junked the hell out of earthquakes but bash being main dealer and i guess HOTA?
Lunging Strike is miles better than Bash as a Primary. It deals more damage, has a range to it, you can shift+click spawn EQs and Horadric Spells and Mercs off the map. The only good thing about Bash is its ability to generate Fortify, Stun, and the Overpower.
Also, MoniTec. Lunging Strike spawns EQs, Bash does not.
So shameful, all the builds are at PIT 100 already in 2 days and barbs are still only doing 35’s? based on website
smh
Are all the builds for barb revolving around earthquake to be viable?
Eq are used for than chunky 120multiplier, respeced to frenzy on eternal with gf, can farm pit 80s in 5 mins - crazy attack speed, overpowering constantly with paingorgers - feels good tbh. But they could easily keep the eq/twisters builds, why cant we have more build diversity?
Barbs are the red-headed stepkids this season.
I can easily do everything in T4 as a Lunging Strike barb, except bosses. It is a very demanding build for specific uniques and is quite squishy. All the vids you see of lunging strike barbs for S9 are recycled footage from the last PTR.
I played LS up to Pit ~70 and then experimented with Bash + Quake + Mantel. My rough estimation is, that it is around 7-10 Pit levels lower than LS. The main problem with the build is that you cannot buff basic skills and earthquakes at the same time. In D4, hybrid builds are almost always worse than just focusing on one damage source.
If you focus on either bash or quake then LS will just be better. The biggest advantage of LS is in my opinion the bleed + Harrogath combo and the fact that LS is a mobility skill and works with the mobility generator rune (Moni I think it is).
Guys is it normal to sometimes having to idle, cant attack due to fury completely drained with hooves boots.
I have to wait like 1-2 seconds either for fury to regen itself enough or rally cry or ground stomp is up
yes, it keeps draining harder and harder until you are empty and then it resets. I think its probably possible to counter even the maximum drain, but its usually not worth it compared to have 2s downtime, especially when you use Ramaladnis.
