Barbs breaking the game in PVP 99% elemental resistant

Some how barbs got past the elemental resistant cap of 85% in pvp. I have 200K attack power and my incinerate does almost zero damage to them like 50dps maybe lol. A ton of barbs are starting the use this broken build over the past week. Dunno what youtuber put this exploit out there but I believe its not a natural game design.

Are Sorcerers still running infinite fireshield in pvp?

  1. Attack power is a poor stat to rely on, it cannot be trusted

  2. Are you sure its resistances and not barbs having insane amounts of health?

Incinerate is an underwhelming build.
Likely went in with pve gear and set up and gets owned

i mean i melt everyone in seconds besides the fully resistant barbs. No matter the health my dps meter shouldn’t show 50 dps lmao. Also rambo you must not pvp much, incinerate is OP in pvp lmao. I’d likely destroy you unless you are fully resist barb (exploit)

Barbarians can achieve 100% damage reduction to elites, which includes player characters. That’s one of the reasons why that temper recipe will be removed in season 5.

ok cool thank you for being honest, i do 100mil dps on the boss dummy and 50dps on that barb last night, pretty insane!!!

To be serious, character balance is one of the biggest issues in D4 and probably will never be fixed due to Blizzard’s favoritism towards certain characters in the game (guess which ones).

ran into a perma fireshield today, this game is absolute trash when it comes to pvp, being unbalanced is one thing but having immortal builds is another thing entirely.

This game honestly should have never even had PvP in the first place with the state it’s been in since release.

If they wanted to add it in a future xpac or something and actually spend time implementing it properly then sure, but who in their right mind spent time creating what we currently have labelled as “PvP” in the game and thought it was anything other than laughable and unfinished.

They can’t even balance the game around pve let alone PvP

The first thing that is very noticeable is that you are not a PVP player. The barbarian has the ability to get 100% reduction against elite enemies, with 96% you will not do much damage to him. I have the resistances at 70% but I have 96% damage reduction to elites. I assure you that you will not do anything to me with your incinerate even if I have the resistances at 30%.

Barbs have more then just 100% dr from elites they can also reduce enemy damage of enemy’s affected by shouts by 100% which will also make there party memeber immortal
