So, it looks like the cast point or the ‘source of skill or damage location’ of Whirlwind does not move with your character when moving while channeling the skill. It always stays exactly where you initally started channeling whirlwind.

This is a huge problem with suppressor enemies since you need to be inside of the bubble when you start casting whirlwind. And if the enemy moves away enough they are again immune since the initial cast point now was outside the bubble.

This has been reported multiple times, but the even bigger problem is: This also affects the +x% Damage to Close Enemies affix on items, which is probably the most commonly used and sought after affix for most barbarians after vulnerability damage. This could also partially explain the extreme damage problems most whirlwind builds have in higher tier NM dungeons since you simply cannot stand in one place in those.

That means that most likely it will also affect the +% Damage Reduction from Close Enemies affix, but i didn’t test that.
