Mighty Throw is bugged. As long as you keep casting 1 Mighty Throw every 4 sec and keep one pulsing on the ground at all times, you can “snapshot” your buffs. Think of things like Encroaching Wrath Aspect, Limitless Rage Aspect, and more. Almost anything can be snapshotted, even certain runeword powers!
This also includes Combat Bash that forces your next Core or Weapon Mastery skill to overpower. So you combat bash 4x (they must crit) → then cast your 1st Mighty Throw. This forces it to overpower. But as long as you keep one pulsing on the ground at all times, you will maintain the snapshot and you can permanently make every single Throw overpower forever. And not just your Mighty Throw. ANY damage you do will overpower if you use this snapshot method. So it also means you can run HOTA upgrade that gives +40%[multiplicative] more dmg for a few seconds after Overpowering with HOTA, since anything you cast automatically overpowers.
This results in 10x more dmg or so than is intended. This is the only reason why Barb can clear pit 110. Without this bug, Barbs would be stuck around 100 to 102 or so on this build, and every other build is stuck even below that.
Just wanted to provide some information on this. I got the info from Dalkora, a Barb streamer who also works for Mobalytics. Was watching his stream the other day and he was showing off this terrible snapshotting bugged interaction.
PLEASE BUFF BARBS BLIZZARD. AND FIX OUR MIGHTY THROW BUG. UGHHH.
Edit: BeatDropper, one of the top Mighty Throw Barbs pushing high pits this season, replied to me in YouTube comments on a DonTheCrown (D4 content creator) video about the Mighty Throw snapshot bug that I commented about on Don’s video. He confirmed this bug is why he can push as high on his Mighty Throw Barb. So my info is backed up by one of the top Barb players AND by Dalkora, a notable Barb streamer.
