This is a direct response to the very misleading video posted a couple days ago:

The post above contains a video showing a barb using Hota build taking an entire 2+ minutes to beat the lvl 70 T3 Capstone boss, and just struggling to do both damage and stay alive, if those pots were beers, he would be drunk.
I wanted to show in comparison just how misleading the above was.
So I waited till my barb was the same level, and only used Lunging Strike (a basic attack) as my main attack (steel grasp is in there to proc some vuln)
completed the same boss, in 1/4th the time, without drinking a single pot.
Not saying the barb is in a good place, as its def not, but dang, that one video made it look really really bad.

Barbs are in a good spot compared to other classes but they are a popular class and people see other classes doing better and don’t realize they are doing better in spite of class issues, not because of barb issues.
Haha, take a step back guys. One guy makes a ridiculous video, and another guy makes a ridiculous video as a response. Hahaha. Do you disagree that barb needs attention and work from devs? Yes? Okay, what is your point? You can kill a pathetic boss with lunge self heal? Cool

Thank you, barb is still pretty decent. Ive been getting a lot of hate for saying that.
My lvl 53 is doing good. I hope I can keep it up.

Eternal is going do die. They want you to play season so the balance about seasons not eternal I suppose. And what is lilith for? You don’t get anything from her? It’s just you reach lvl 85 and you’re done. The balance is from lvl to max 100 and not after it…
That is silly.
If they indeed nerf stuff to “balance” the seasonal theme. why did our nerfed Barbs get such crappy hearts in s1?
People use their eternal characters for lots of reasons: To build perfect end-game chars, because they’re “casual” & aren’t interested in re-leveling, because they think the season theme is really dumb…
Seasons are only an optional gameplay mode. The eternal realm should remain just as viable.

Every other melee class is better than Barb in season 1. Barbs are a disgrace.

I agree, makes me sad. I want to play Rogue or Necro because it does look fun, but the reality is, the power difference late game between them is SO significant it’s a surprise anyone knowing this would choose to play Barbarian unless they’re loyal to that character type like me.
I honestly would rather the devs balance Barbarians better so we can stand toe-to-toe with other classes end game. I mean, attack speed increases don’t even affect Whirlwind and most aspects were essentially nerfed to where the numbers are so small it’s a waste to use half of them. Like, damaging an elite to get a TINY barrier amount AND it only lasting 10 seconds now is just sad. So the aspect where you do (x%)x damage while having a barrier active is basically moot also.
Our crit chance was clearly nerfed too, with every piece of equipment having CC on it, I can only get to 24% now, and without most of them (cuz other stats and item power make them technically better) my CC is only 7.6%. I mean, this is ridiculous.
I’m not gonna switch characters because Barb is garbage now, I’m gonna have to go back to D3 or COD or something til they resolve it.
TL;DR: Barb is weak now, they should make it better.
3 shouts & overleveled ( I cleared the same capstone on rogue at 57, got 58 after killing the boss), you are literally proving our point.
Barb has no build variety, the three shout thing needs to stop being mandatory. How is this never addressed?
Considering I did the T3 capstone dungeon on my rogue at Lv55 today and blew up Elias so fast he barely had the chance to do the triangle spawning in 3 demons, completely skipping other phases, I do think it’s pretty pathethic it takes Barbs 10+ lvls to do it in a longer timeframe.
I want Barb to be good but it’s just not. I don’t need it to be Druid good but goddangit… Barb just feels bad imo.
Please, PLEASE make the devs watch this video FFS!
