You can´t play a class from the original Diablo IV if you play together with a Spiritborn.
Even with very good equiqment you are so far behind the Spiritborn that you are not needed.
Tormented Duriel gets down in 0,5 Seconds. High Pits, the Spiritborn is clearing the Instance. You are useless if you are not Spiritborn, because you need to much time for the mobs.
In Vanilla D4 I could play with my teammates. Together. Now in VoH I stand in the PIT and wait that the Spiritborn is completing it, because I´m not fast enough to give him some help.
There is absolut no challenge for the Spiritborn in this game. Pushing PITs to a new level can´t be the only option for an endgame challenge?.
And this “PIT Pushing” is also only a one man show, because no other class than the Spiritborn can help on high PITs.
This is very frustrating, because I like the Necro and Sorc. But together with a Spiritborn my class is complete useless in every situation.

I was in the helltide and the Hellborne spawned. I thought oh boy, this guy has a big health pool, I’m gonna be here a while! So I rolled up my sleeves and stepped forward, ready to take the fight to him. Then a Spiritborn appeared and 1 shot him in milliseconds. Just swatted him like a fly.
If you are in the open world and anything is going on if you want you can just afk and let the Spiritborn handle it. This game is stupid. You contribute NOTHING if you aren’t playing SB. You can’t even get into group content because why would anyone bother inviting anything but an SB?
This is the worst class balance that has ever been in any game ever. This is Blizzard so there balance is always bad. World of Warcaft as an example has cringe balance. But this is record breaking new level “We clearly did not test anything before we implemented this” imbalance of biblical proportions.

When one class clears pit 150 is 40 pit tiers above the runner up
You know something isnt right.
Blizz’s practice is questionable

Blizz is doing the obvious. 1. Make a “Meh!” expension. 2. Push sales by making and overpowered class you deliver it with. 3. Swim in money because ppl by this crap.
If there was an option right now to refund D4 or my whole Blizz account now I would take it and never look back ^^. That’s how bad Blizz became for my taste.

Even if you were fast enough, you would still not be able to serve them of any help. You will be just a drag, an annoying peasant on the terrain.

It is how it is.
For example I like sorc, I choose wizard/mage class in every game if I can. My sorc was queen in last season. Before it was barbarian world, same story.
But I bought DLC to play new class and I’m glad it is very capable, I paid for it.
Do not make drama of it. Play it while it’s powerful. Next season nerf will come.

My favorite part is the Realmwalker event. If you don’t tap the mobs, you get zero rep when the 2-4 Spiritborn zoomers are there zipping around “helping.” It’s not so bad with my necro because of Soulrift’s AOE but my Barb is boned because shouts don’t count.
Thanks, Blizzard.
We have gone from 5 classes to 1, 0 classes when they nerf Sb. That’s progress for Blizz.

That is what it’s come down to. The other classes are peasants and the new class in town is the only one that has any value. Thanks Blizzard.
The Thing is: If Blizzard would delete the 5 old classes from the game, it would make no difference.
For me, its not a big problem if a Spiritborn can do a lvl 150 or a lvl 300 PIT. But it get´s important in the moment when it comes to groupplay or open world play where different classes work together for one goal. This can be the Maiden, Realm Walker, World Boss, Legion or just an Event.
In a group it can be Infernal Horde, Undercity, or PIT (and so on).
Until I play alone in dungeons, the Spiritborn is not a problem for me. But Blizzard designed this game for groupplay with an open world, events, world bosses.
And at this point I can logout and can delete my char, because the Spiritborn can do the same things I can do, only 40x times faster.
And when he has done this he must ask himself (or herself): Ok i killed 10000000 Monster, but where was the fun if I already know at the start that there is no challenge for me?"
How boring is this after 2-3 days?

I felt this way during season 2 when a hammer slamming barbarian joined my group and was doing all the work.
I hear ya. I always play barbarians or warriors in every game. Playbed barb all the way through season 5. Didn’t bother this time. Made a quill throwing SB and named him Barbarian.
My hope is at some point they will push a balance patch and I can pass things on to a barb alt to make his life better.
If you move your cursor in a circle really fast you can pretend its spin to win barb with unlimited auto leaps.
You must be new to Blizzard. Their model has always been to pump up one class as the Uber class for the season (obviously their cash cow with the XP for S6), and force everyone to play it. Then they rotate next season. Rather than organically allow players to explore classes and content at their leisure with balanced builds, they just swing the pendulum every season to force you to play the flavor of the month. It is a terrible model.
If that’s what they do they overdid it a bit much here.
There’s another part to this travesty of a season. I don’t like the new class. Sorry but I have ZERO desire to play a jungle themed monk in a fantasy setting. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with the class I just don’t like the play style.
But if I don’t play one then I’m stuck slogging thru low end content desperately trying to slowly raise my paragon and hope for the nearly impossible chances of finding ancestral aspects. So, now, I’m forced to play a class I don’t like just to unlock enough of the season that I can play the class I want to play. How is that, “Play your way”?
So now I log on and blast thru enemies like I’m armed with a bazooka in a chicken coop just so I can farm paragon that my main can use. This is what a poorly designed player experience looks and feels like.

I imagine the dev team is desparately trying to figure a way out of this mess.
If they nerf the SB, people will have a fit and quit playing.
If they don’t nerf SB, people will have a fit and quit playing.
Classic Catch-22.

I bet they do nothing until S7.

Another useless thread about QQing over some imaginary slight in a strictly solo game. Just run around and pick up the loot ya whiners , this is a loot game btw.
Not some epeen psuedo competitive competition , get a grip.
