Barb may not be the best at everything now but this just goes to show how strong it is in the right hands.

No troll, go check the HC leaderboards. Ex is cleaning up and representing barb well.

I always told you guys that barb goes into WT3 + WT4 hard but you didn’t listen. Yes barb isn’t the best at uber lilith or T100 but that doesn’t matter in the leaderboard run.

Balance means exactly that. Classes performance has to be relative. In most metrics, Barbarians aren’t in a good place. When other classes can easily accomplish things Barbarians can’t it doesn’t matter how much you with it to be, or how much you enjoy the class playstyle, they are weaker relative to others.

I’ve never played any type of RPG where players were fine with knowing their class was gutted and weak compared to others, with the exception of extremely casual types who are generally clueless and don’t care.

I have a sorc on eternal realm but I’m not a sorc main. Playing barb in S1, currently rend.

Also seeing lots of barbs around in S1 but almost no sorcs. The numbers speak for themselves.

The “leaderboard” isn’t a leaderboard at all. It’s a completely made up, contrived community-driven speedrun. A lot of people don’t even see the appeal of speedrunning in this kind of game.

It was nice in D3 when they had the greater rift leader board, hope to see it in D4 someday.

I mean…its definitely a leaderboard, and tens of thousands participated in the race. Just because youre not interested doesnt mean that its some fake contest.

It’s organized by a tiny fraction of the community and participated in by a tiny fraction of the community. Speedrunning requires playing in a 4 man team and repetitively farming strongholds over and over again as fast as possible. That’s not an interesting leaderboard in any way. Only a very small % of players think that is interesting.

It’s not just speedrunners doing that, but also people with common sense. It makes the 1-50 grind much quicker.

There’s a reason you often see people near onyx watchtower and temple of rot.
