I don’t see any close quarter Sorc battlemages… I don’t see Necros hitting enemies with 2h swords either… Rogues might have the most versatile builds this season, being quite true to its identity.
But then we have the Barbarian, the mighty melee character that chases foes down to put them to dirt in close distance… What are the Barb best builds you might ask? A ranged build (Mighty throw), a minion build (CotA), and a caster build (Earthquake)…
Come on Blizzard, let me hit enemies with my 4 weapons and deal raw damage as the class was intended to be played. Most core skills are very weak in the endgame on themselves (maybe HotA is the exception, but still you need to chase the overpower procs constantly).
Yeah…the barbarian is a bit lacking in identity at the moment. The druid also seems a bit far away to me. He should always have minions, even for buffs.
I was told yesterday that a properly built Sorc can face-tank T4 bosses without taking damage, because barriers. I don’t know if this is true, nor do I care, because to me Sorc = Kite.
As for Barbarian, I’m going to keep concentrating on big-splat-hammer damage as long as I can. Because yes, beating things into a pulp with big splatty hammers, or carving them to bits with big edgy swords, is The Way.
Absolutely. I actually tried making a Frenzy build at launch and was so frustrated because I know how fun it could be. Even the unique amulet they eventually added to the build was useless. Very disappointing that Frenzy didn’t get any importance.
Funny thing, this season I used frenzy exclusively till T2. Well, frenzy wasn’t the thing doing the damage it was boss powers activated off of each frenzy cast.
It was actually pretty damn fun, run in and stack Dots and so long as I never stopped swinging I was never taking damage. I just wish it had been frenzy doing the damage and not boss powers.
