Ball Lightning while moving

Hello there,

I haven’t tested ball lightning for a while and am trying it season 16 PTR. I realized that i can’t cast while moving.

Tested it in Season 15 and it doesn’t work in the current season as well. I thought ball lightning has been changed in the patch notes that you can cast while moving.

Has this change been reversed?

The “casting while moving” is just for the Orbital upgrade.

Edit: Just realized you were talking about the PTR… Sorry, I don’t know. Must be bugged

Yes, I am using orbital. I am not sure if I do something wrong. But I tried it using the right mouse button and also by numlocking ball lightning. When I cast ball lightning I stop walking and when I numlock ball lightning I only cast when I stop walking.

Have tested if it is due to capslock but that’s not the case.

I first found it out while running the PTR but I checked it on season 15 and it is not working.

Have you tested it?

It is working fine here. Just tested on XBox.

Try using “Force Move”. Back when I played on PC, I would hotkey BL to Q (or something else comfortable) and use the mouse wheel to Force Move.

Alright, I tried it out with a controller and also by force moving (unbinding the moving and casting interaction):

  • Controller works just fine on PC
  • Mouse interaction is strangely off
    • If I stand and then hold the cast button of ball lightning I won’t move
    • If I move and then press cast repeatedely it works
    • If i move and then hold cast I stop moving

I am so confused. Does anyone on PC can confirm or deny my experience.
