So before this release, one could cast ball lightning and move at the same time. However, post update that option isnt there. Like whenever ball lightning is cast, it stops all movement and therefore causes issues with survivability that wasnt there before. Is anyone else having this issue? I use controller for this build/character for the reason of casting while moving.
I have the same with frozen orb, its the animation.
It was possible to cast BL without stopping because of specific unique focus last seasons
Now - this focus doesnt exist anymore
yes and i wish they would go back to it if thats what the cause is. just one hot mess atm is what the game is. i like it, but very hard to play as a sorcerer like this.
I was looking for this. I dunno why the f*** devs did that. It is what made BL playable.
yeah, the Okunās catalyst seems to be missing.
I have this issue too, u cant cast ball lightning and move you character at the same time, RIP ball lightning.
I am also irritated that they did away with Okunās Catalyst. What the hell?! That was what made ball lightning one of the best sorc builds to play. Between that and teleport no longer transporting between walls and such, our mobility has been significantly nerfed.
Blizzard please fix this. I canāt play like this.
Itās not just the ball lightning I noticed that ppl playing on console can still cast their skills without stopping dead in their tracks I think this is a unfair advantage especially in a game with competitive gameplay.
I have tested it on Warlock and Sorcerer both of these have to stand still to cast their skills which sucks Blizzard pls pls pls fix this.
I play on X-Box and the only skill I can ācast and walkā is Arc Lash.
When I say ācast and walkā I mean that I hold down the cast button and the analog stick at the same time and the character will move between casts. But even with Arc Lash the character will stop for a couple of frames for every cast.
Every other skill will keep the character in place for as long as I hold down the button.
What is probably easier on controller is the āalternating inputsā since I just hold the direction on the stick and press the skill button with some sort of rhythm to make the character cast the skill every 2 or 3 steps. Keep in mind that this will not take full advantage of the attack speed since Iām not actually casting skills consecutively. When I played on PC I would do this āalternating inputsā by setting āforce moveā to the mouse wheel and casting with the keyboard.
On the other hand, any skill that needs placement, like Firewall, is horrible to play on controller since we canāt choose where the skill will land. And in my opinion, Teleport is even detrimental to the gameplay on controller.
PS: The only Sorc skill that actually can be casted while moving is Familiar.
they changed that in s5 i think, and i hate it too.
Only orbital BL is kinda fine on controller. Almost every other spell does a hard stop on cast. Arc Lash was a cool spell before this change, now it feels clunky.
