Your argument confuses me. So you’re telling me because we all knew SB was going to be strong, it somehow wasn’t a terrible, lazy choice to neglect the balance of every other class?
Like what hill are you dying on here my guy? You’re just throwing out non-sequiturs left and right.

No it is a terrible, stupid choice to say “no worries Blizz”, hand them money, and come complain about it here anyway. But I’m the moron? Lol clownshoes.
If you want change, you vote with your wallet. Buying the xpac says “you’re doing great Blizz”! Preordering it says “just give me shiny stuff and I’ll be happy”.
If anything, I was somewhat trying to convey to some (albeit smugly because doing so nicely hasn’t been successful) that you can still do everything in the game without playing Spiritborn. It’s nauseating watching so many people play the make believe non existent competition here.
Hey, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The new class is doing quadrillions more damage than every other thing within the game effectively trivializing all content in every way revolving entirely around a bug with a single legendary node in one class’s tree. The state of the game is presently broken until it’s fixed end of story lol
I mean $40 for me isn’t a big deal, and despite me having preconceived notions of what I was getting, it was still worth to check out the new class for me. Moreso I bought it because I’ve been playing this series since Diablo 1 and was really hoping for a solid campaign and some baller Blizz cutscenes and boss fights. I did not get that lol. The second I hit my first emote quest I knew it was grim, by the time I hit my second emote quest it was all but over.
But I digress. It’s just bad design philosophy overall. They’re only hurting themselves man. What I don’t get is why people who enjoy it feel the need to lash out at people trying to voice their opinion. If you enjoy it go enjoy it. I never said I didn’t get any fun out of it, it’s just not at the level of quality we had hoped after all this time and all these promises from Blizz.
Oh, and yes. You can do most of what spirtborn does on any class. Just infinitely slower and with a lot more effort…and probably not too much further above pit 120. I personally don’t care about pit outside of having my glyphs leveled sufficiently.
You don’t need to do trillions to clear pit 100. You do probably need to level up glyphs to speed farm it.
I know very well the situation. I also knew it looked like a “we really want to sell this xpac so we’re doing xyz” and it is what I expected them to do.
Here we are, and still my biggest thing-who cares if they are trivializing content? I’d imagine most people spend their time in this game in their own little instance. Why do you care soooo much what somebody else is doing in theirs?
One of the issues I have with numbers like this OP is that the VAST majority of players started this season with SB …
Of course they are going to have more clears THERE ARE A LOT MORE of them
I understand all that.
If you have me pinned as “rampant blizz supporter”, I’m sure somebody can easily correct you. I tend to go the other way.
$40 isn’t anything to me either, I didn’t get it on principle and honestly I expect one of my friends will gift it to me anyway despite telling them not to. I did want to try out the new chest.
We actually agree on several things. I’ve pointed out many times the game is and has been dead on xbox (achievement %’s).
It’s an online rpg which also includes pvp. It’s a real bad look but you know all of this and are arguing anyway for some reason.
It’s online only to take advantage of fomo and sell shop cosmetics. They said they didn’t care about pvp from the get go.
Personally I don’t care if some lightning guy zips around while I stand afk at the maiden altar for example, they aren’t affecting me. Cuz if I’m in open world I’m having to grind something I’d rather not be.
Dude, you keep asking why people care about this and that, while spending your time here caring about something that should effect you even less.
Like you’re mad at forum posts…we’re here a bit disgruntled about in-game issues, that do matter for enjoyment longer than 10 days.
I can never tell if I’m just being baited by people like you nowadays. Anyways man, game balance matters even in games that aren’t directly competitive. Forcing a game to be online 100% of the time while allowing trading that is plagued by rampant 4GA duping matters. Having drop rates be infinitely worse than they were just a season ago matters. Spending hours to farm mats only to have your item brick by a half-baked, pseudo RNG/Weighted temper and masterwork system DOES matter.
If you’ve played any game with online only play, it shouldn’t be this hard to understand why these things matter for overall enjoyment. I didn’t even touch the inconsistent performance and bugs lol.
What else matters is that I’m on here getting caught in this goofy loop of “debate” instead of playing, because I’ve already lost the drive to log in. I was on for about 15 minutes and the grind prospect to get more boss mats and more craft mats for items that don’t drop just didn’t seem worth it already.

I’ve said many times forum is where I got my value out of the game. This place is highly entertaining, I’m anything but “mad”.
I also said many times the xpac is the time to drive changes. But everybody bought it anyway lol.
We can agree to disagree on balance. I mop the floor with enemies on the hardest difficulty, I can do pit 100. I don’t need validation by clearing something higher.
No it’s online to play with others. That’s why they made it an online game. Lol nice try dude nobody is buying your stance on this situation.

Ahh, so you are exactly one of “those” people. I thought you were immediately, but figured I’d give you the benefit of the doubt lol. Take care dude, enjoy leveling up on the forum or something.
That we agree on too. I’ll never understand it with this game. ARPGs aren’t twitch heavy skill oriented games by design.
I didn’t do things like AoZ 20/leaderboard stuff because of them. The only people I “compete” with are my friends and it is all friendly banter anyway. I constantly tell them “no I just understand the games’ systems, there isn’t much skill to it”.
If people would stop validating streamers that would also resolve a lot of issues here. Because Blizz knows a huge amount of people watch them all the time, so it’s just smart business to encourage that.

“Diablo 4 is played solo by 85% of players”-Blizzard
Go ahead and tell me how much that group finder gets used.
Live your dream though.
It’s an online only game because that let’s them release stuff half baked and call it “live service”.

You don’t own the expansion.
You aren’t playing the season.
So you literally have no skin in this particular game.
Yet you wanna keep arguing that somehow you were smarter than everyone and could use your powers of foresight to look into a crystal ball and discover the new class was going to be 1,000,000x more powerful?
Well congrats, the rest of us would still enjoy if they did something about it.
Back you go to your D4 vanilla.
Yet I can still post here and I AM playing season.
I think I’ll stay here, cuz I can.
But mommy is so proud of you showing that “filthy vanilla” player what is what!
Everyone loves a desperate contrarian at parties.
What we need here is an armchair expert who adds nothing useful to the discussion except vague admonishments.
Thanks for being that guy!
They also love people that moan and groan about something they didn’t have to buy, were even reminded as adults they had a choice not to buy, but complaining is just so much fun. Mirite?
Sorry is this you doing a victory lap in a thread designed to outline the full scale of the issue with the new class?
Like what are you doing here?
We bought the game, we’re playing it, you… I’m not even sure what your doing exactly.
