instead of (unsuccessfully) trying to balance classes blizz should simply adapt monsters power to every class depending on their performance. Its very very very easy. Ex if monsters power is 100 for SB it should be like 60 for barbs…
again is very easy and very adaptable to changing situations

Sounds cool but the gap is more than 100 vs 60.
And when you play Barb and you join a Spiritborn what should have been? 80?
Sorry looks funny to me haha
That would be absurd.
Besides, it is not directly classes that are unbalanced, it is builds.
If Blizzard were capable of dynamically adjusting monsters to each build, they would also be capable of simply adjusting the build in the first place.
Now, they could of course just normalize all DMG you do, but then everything would be meaningless.
Then they can adjust monster power to each individual player too. That would solve the player balance problem. You can just play the game naked and it would be exactly the same as being fully geared with all 12/12 mythics.

not so absurd is already like this in helltides for example. When two players with different level face the same monster, the monster power is scaled based on each indivudual player
This is the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard.
Dumb is the present gameplay where 1 class make 10000x damage compared to others
not my fault if they cannot balance power between classes
Agreed. But the solution is to nerf that build (and others) by 99.99%, and if that is not enough, do it once more.
I posted 2 vids in another thread, apparently people thought I’m agitating, well, see for yourselves, I mean I’m kinda showcasing the discerpancy (same char 2 different fights)

Also, lol @OP

Seriously now, as much as i hated set items in diablo 3, it was an easy way to balance the game if they would like of course.
A set is dedicated to a specific build so there are not so many numbers to adjust in order to balance them.
Now all builds are chaotic, there are so many combinations and it is not that easy as it seems.
Personally i hate set items, but unfortunatelly i am sure we gonna see them in D4 some day.
Yes there are, and actually it IS easy - nerf strongest builds
Then bring down the Boss HP a bit so it’s not round 6-7 minutes, boss fight ? = 5
I know this is another topic but this problem begins when they don’t even have their own testing realm.
Every new patch only streamers testing the game and feedback.
Every time they say this class is OP or this class is bad.
I have never saw them saying that we need a real balance to the game.
Anyway this is another topic now
While I agree it isn’t easy to create great balance, the extreme outliers usually come from very few moving parts that are outright bugged or working in unintended ways. Those would be relatively easy to adjust.
Creating perfect balance, where 40 moving parts contributes to 1 build being twice as good as another, and changing any of these parts also affects 100 other builds, sure, that is a challenge.
The issue here for Blizzard isnt figuring out how to nerf a broken SB build.
It is them being afraid to apply that fix.

Is it that easy tho? That sounds like a nightmare to code.
No the best solution is nerfing barb.
I think is very easy because it is already in place. In helltide as example 2 different level players can face the same monster with its power being relativized.
and what you do when there is a party SB+barb+rogue+sorc?
or when in openworld/helltide thete is a SB and a rogue killing mobs around?
SB currently is bugged as hell. why they did not fix asap I can not understand, because they effectively killing the game keeping SB 10000x more powerfull then should be.
Nothing. Every class maintain his relative bonus vs monster as in helltide
This is where OP fails to understand the very basic causes of the balance in this game… BUGS!!! Yet another vocal cretin with zero knowledge… welcome to 2024 lads!
(((Hey guys ez fix lets have everyone deal 666 and execute elites))) dumb ash!
