Balance and feedback Ideas

Thank you bliz & dev team for fixing Spiritborn evade. People that don’t thank you need a chill pill.
I have spent time getting up and completing a 90 on spiritborne evade build, and working on getting a barb lvled just incase the build is nerfed to hell. barb is now 60, and is functioning (deathblow +third blade bonkstick build) Could issues.

Feedback:

  • Thunderspike / Evade

As a part of providing feedback, I recommend making thunderspike attack speed scale evade frames to make the build potentially viable and primarily locked behind gear rather than it just being as is. it’s playable, but clunky.

  • Scorn of the earth

Second, the maximum amount of feathers for storm feathers to be spawned needs to be increased. Why? Because as cool as the aspect/ soar combo is, it needs to scale up in order to be directly viable. In order to put this in perspective, it currently does not work as intended; Soar should spawn (10 from aspect), and Vortex should pull them all in (per aspect.) As it stands, Spawn only triggers every other cast on soar, and if you wear unique boots (turning sour into evade), The 10 feather spawn never functions, and rarely functions.

In order to make this build fun or very playable, The spawn should happen every time you don’t have max feathers up. And I say this because playing a Final Fantasy Dragoon is Hecking FUN, and I’d love to do it in Diablo, and see ya’ll do it better than FF14 does as a point of IRONY

  • Seponzetec

This item is perfectly fine, but will only ever be used for thunderspike. If you want this item to be more widely used, make quarterstaves available to Barbarians. let the animations be the same as hammer animations for hilarity’s sake, because staff barbs are a meme carrying back to Diablo 2

Opening up quarter staves does not mean that you should open up Rod of Kepeleke. Rod however is balanced, but only because it’s Spiritborne only. But the problem is, no weapon will ever compete with Rod, or with Seponzetec currently in D4

  • Nesekem

So a mythic should FEEL mythic. Nesekem is there, but no build/ synergy would synergize with Nesekem as is with Spritborne. How do we fix this?
Nesekem should target priority, Boss > Elites > Normal mobs.
Nesekem should Retarget every 3 seconds, or every 15 Crits (so 10 while targeted) + 5 while not targeted. Meaning, it Fluidly functions on it’s own w/ minor startup. This means it would take priority over any weapon short of build dependant on Uniques Seponzek & Rod.

  • lorcran’s Talisman

Uh, this is Wonderful but the secondary stats mean it will never see use in a primary build, especially so long as poc is based on the % usage overall, and not counting the increases over base % (such as hitting 180% of the base, and factor that in) Meaning there’s no reason to use Poc and lorcran’s together. Same with any resource spending Unique.

  • Ring of the Midnight Sun

Should be available to every class, change resource return to be generic. Counterattack should be granted as an ability while wearing it, 10% dodge + counter attack is not a HUGE deal unless you stack dodge. And even then, it’s defensive, when every build should be offensive by nature due to becoming overwhelmed in higher difficulties (meaning TTK or time to kill is more essential than defensive, because if you’re defensive, you will die eventually.)

  • Barbarians:

They have the most mechanics in the game due to the most weapons, which means they need more support via glyphs. Where as other people glyphs are relatively Universal w/ 1 to 3 build dependent ones, Almost every barb’s Glyphs are tailored to a specific build, cornerstorning/holing them into a secondary mechanic (twisters, or earthquake).

When using weapon swap build, (walking arsenal), there should be an aspect that switches Weapons automatically if the buff is about to fall off, before switching back. if you designate a weapon specifically for this skill, it works to refresh the buff. If you have AUTO select on, it should AUTO switch weapons on every attack, making you have the draw damage buff up every time.
This makes this playable as a DPS/automated option, or people can play it manually. Given we only have 6 skills, if you have 1 skill for defensive, 1 for a shout, that means 1 generator, one core (for damage) and 2 more, including walking arsenal, this means 2 of these have CD’s unless you give up damage by only picking core skills, meaning almost never having 100% uptime.
