Bad season 3 with RNG seasonal progression

Good seasonal content has some real seasonal progression to it.

Blizzard has apparently learned nothing from the Uber unique drop rates and farming materials for even a chance to get them. Cause now they are doing that for SEASONAL content with even the very hardcore players not getting the unique robot stones after 50-100 KILLs IN A GROUP!.

Imagine the fun on the seasonal progression that will have less than 1% of the playerbase even bother. Most just don’t play the game and give up when they see things like this. Some will buy farming materials for REAL MONEY to try to get it and NEITHER is good for this game!

Imagine buying a grinding game with an rng loot system that has been like that for 20+ years, and expecting the game not to be a rng loot grind game. :person_facepalming: This is what diablo is all about, just go play another game. Casual tears as usual.

The robot upgrades can now be done in 1 days in wt4 with the crafting satchels in about 4-5 hours.

Not everyone enjoys arpgs but the seasonal content upgrades are super fast. Cores drop like candy and the only chase items are the unique stones. Its the only thing that will keep me playing until leaderboards.

Its not even casual tears. The games already been tuned to casuals. Its just not D3 ultra casual mobile game mode.

This has nothing to do with casual - and also has NOTHING to do with 20 years of Diablo.

Did you play seasonl content in D2 and D3? Cause lets see… Best season in D3 for many was Season 28. It had INGMAE SEASONAL progression based on none RNG features that every players could work on for 1 week … or 3 months.

You sir - are a great example why D4 is hated this much. Cause you don’t know a THING about the game you are playing.

Same i dont want stuff to be easy to obtain and be done with the game after a week. I play 16 hours per week in the game and i want my content to last 3 month.

If you cant sink gaming hours in the game you dont deserve good loot, end of story.

Lets see if you even get the loot. No matter the hours. It be worthless anyway since you loose it few days later.

Imagine calling the diablo 3 casual game a diablo game lol gtfo u know nothing about diablo. You would have died from crying if you would have played diablo 2 and spend 2000 hours to lvl up 90 to 99.

Farming uber keys for 5 hours just for 1 summon.

Not heing able to target farm an unique.

You are asking for an easy game and you are not going to get it.

Well people can still get lucky but people who spend more time playing have a higher chance of getting the loot they want because arpgs are slot machines. The biggest issue of tears is the D3 philosophy of participation throphies.

D3 did so much damage to the overall diablo experience.

D3 was a joke after expension, everything was too easy to get, lost interest after 2 weeks into every seasons. Diablo 3 expension was made for bad gamers/casuals who wants everything handed to them easy.

I went back for s30 just to see if I remembered it correctly but it was even more ridiculous.

15 min 1-70 with alter removal of level req
20 min to get a full set
15 min to get rorg
3 hours farming rift/gr para 600
Uninstalled

I dont know why anyone enjoys d3 but its an arcade game and not an arpg.

Long mandatory grinds in ultra-easy content to gain access to the super-boss is a design defect. In D2 you have a short run to get to the boss, in D3 you get drops everywhere and can spend most of the time killing monsters in a fun difficulty.
Add the 4x drop rate for groups, an abomination.

Tbf, diablo 4 is a terrible game 5/10 at best. I think most of us want the game to be GOOD. we just disappointed, let alone the pricetag

Not really. Did you not play D2? You got more drop rates for more people in the game. Tho it was ffa and exciting when you snipped an item.

Everyones tastes in entertainment is different. Id give D4 a 7/10 but id give D3 a 2/10.

It literally is the cost of a new game. Not higher, not lower but will always have sales. I definitely got my moneies worth with the hours I put in as a casual.

Well - We can safely say that D4 will not need participation thropies. Cause only few ppl still living in their parents basement from the D2 days are playing it. Most have lmore ambitions in their life than to be on D4 ladder based on grinding slot machines. And that’s why D4 is going down the drain faster each and every season

Its not nearly the grind of D2 so you dont need to be a basement dweller but the FOMO and entitled attitudes are unreal. It will have seasonal uncrease/decreases like every seasonal game than xpac will release with a injection of returning and new players. Look at D3 where seasons are 3-6 hours of content ppl returned for 1 week a season because there was no end game beyond gr but it sure wasnt a loot hunting game.

True - you could even do this WITHOUT grouping up. And still got both better quality items and MORE of them. And even play OFFLINE and don’t care about the grind and just get the items though save files… Imagine that!

D3 was a loot hunting game but players actually COULD just get the items - or lowered the RNG in multiple way. D2 is a much older game and even today has multiple ways to lower the RNG.

There is always a fine line in gaming. Is it about fun and something else. And if you think addicts to slot machines are there having fun… then think why many know how bad the current D4 systems are all about.

The : “i have a life excuse”. Its not about having a life, your whole post is about you wanting everything handed to you in the first week. Not going to happen, they want you to play for 3month, not a week. Noone care if you decide to watch movies/tv series or go to a bar instead of gaming. Thats your choices and video gaming doesnt revolves around you.

Not really I mean you could run days/weeks without getting anything because items are rare.

Yeah imagine people cheating

D3 loot hunt was a couple hours. As soon as you had a set with that 20000% multipier nothing else mattered. The endless paragon made gear irrelevant.

Yes, absolutely because when you win the spin it feels amazing.

Its a large part of the D3 hand holding and ensuring no one goes without anything in a short period of time.

Thats not to knock people who enjoy D3 but I definitely wasnt one of them.

I really feel sorry for ppl here that think this is about getting items in 1 week. I WISH BLizzard would be able to make a season content that is worth doing for more than a week. RNG does not change that. ACTUAL GOOD COTENT does that.

Thankfully - Video gaming revolves around having fun and enjoying yourself in a CONTENT that is worth playing. RNG will only keep the very few and often very addicted no lifers around for 3 months thinking they actually achived something by getting something that then disappears few days later. Now imagine how pointless that is

That’s Why MILLIONS of players that bought D4 are not at all interested in this season or any future seasons with this sort of seasonal mechanics. Cause smart players can see the worthlessness of it. And then go play Palworld and actually have fun for more than a week

Yep, as a SSF player I’m not even going to bother.
