Is there a required tier to get this trophy? I killed Avarice great many times on tiers 1, 2 and 3 and never got it. Generally speaking trophies, mount and mounts’ armor drops so rarely
There is no minimum required world tier. The world boss drops are just rare and are difficult to obtain because they are time gated spawns. I’ve been playing the game consistently since launch, probably have close to 1500 hours, and I’m stilling missing 2 of the 6 world boss drops.
If you didn’t know, you can increase your odds by “parking” multiple characters in the world boss spawn location ahead of time, then switching to each of those characters for the world boss spawn, to get multiple kills per spawn. This tactic may not work well next season though, if they’re making world bosses more resilient to damage.

I’ll add an important detail to their excellent advice:
Do not bother “Camping” multiple WT4 World Bosses.
They die so quickly that by the time you switch to an Alt, the 2nd one will likely be gone.
Step 1 - Cross Play [OFF]
Step 2 - Station one at WT4 - That’s your 1st WB target.
Step 3 - Station 1-2 other Characters in WT1 or WT2 - OUTSIDE of WB ‘Arena/Zone’ - just on the edge of the zone.
Step 4 - Return to 1st WT4 Character, kill, loot and immediately exit
Step 5 - Log onto Alt in WT1/2 that’s ready and waiting at edge of WB zone - ride in and kill.
repeat
I suggest Wt1&2 because of player power and population will tend to be very low - therefore chances of a WB dying in .002 seconds is very slim.
Turning Cross Play OFF will further reduce population and increase odds of WB being alive/active.
