I’m looking for strong builds that don’t rely on targeting. I laugh at the wonky pet AI, but pets work far better than the console auto target. I’m tired of blowing a cooldown because the PS5 selects the barrel behind me instead of the boss in front of me.
This is definitely frustrating, especially if you use skills like teleport or leap, I always end up not going where i want, i either go too far or not far enough, yet PC’s can target their ‘landing’.
I agree auto-targeting needs more refinement. It was excellent in Diablo III, and while not as strong in Diablo II: Resurrected, it wasn’t as finicky as in Diablo IV.
Rogue Heartseeker build. Not Maxroll one, use one on Mobalytics by Sanctum.
Homing arrows, generator build. You can literally aim at the wall and arrows will turn 90 degrees and go around corners. Don’t have ultra-wide PC monitor and getting killed by pff the screen mobs? HS kills stuff off the screen. I just shoot in the direction of mobs and arrows find targets on their own.
Ye leap feels like it doesn’t have any autotarget. You can even use the targeting system and leap still dont hit enemies. Its a useless skill on console since it forces you to run into mobs, stand still and then use it on the spot to be sure where you land/hit. So you get hit before you hit mobs.
And blizz wont add k&m on console… so they will not get me buying the expansion since then i have to buy a game i already own + the expansion. And tbh the game aint that good that i will buy sevral copies just to be able to play on different platforms just because they exclude the m&k support. They say they wont add it bc theres no support for k&m on xbs/ps5. When in fact both consoles have fully built in support for it… and it must be the easiest thing ever to add m&k to console since the pc versions functions with both controller and m&k.
That’s the part you don’t understand. The console does have m&k support, that’s true. Diablo4 console version does not have m&k support built in because the game HAS NO CURSOR. There’s isn’t coding for a cursor in game. Don’t believe me? Buy an emulator like CronusMax or similar. There you go, now plug in your m&k and assign “move” to mouse cursor…right…see now? Good thing Amazon has good return policy.
Targeting on console is the worst. Playing a rapid fire rogue is laughable on a console. I can’t target a wall to destroy in NMDs with rapid fire.
