It won’t happened, mainly because that would lead to an increase of monster killing, and monster killing is fun. Can’t have fun in Diablo 4.
Right now I have font scale to max and pickup everything with ‘E’ as a 2nd bind.
I remember the first time I played Lost Ark and was blown away by the Quality of Life the Autoloot pets provided. I stayed engaged with the combat and dungeons and didnt have to pause my combat rotation to checkout things I may have missed on the map.

I like pickup by pets… that is where the loot filter would be nice. However, auto loot also just aids botting … careful balance

No, no, no people. Auto looting is lame. What we really need is auto loot AND auto sale in seemless transaction without ever returning to town. Why only automate one side and leave lots of button clicking? While we’re at it auto aspect extract with infinite Gmail style aspect inventory.
I need both a treasure goblin pet that has infinite bag space with me and have him outsource the selling of the items we pick up together. I’m more than happy to cut him in on a share of the profits in exchange for said service.
