Authenticator Issue

Every time I login to my account and am told to authenticate using the Authenticator app on my phone…when I go to open the app it tells me the app is being replaced wtih a newer version (Jan 2024) and that I need to update my app. I’ve done so many times. Yet, every time I login, I’m met with the same “replace your app by Jan xx/2024”

It kind of does the install, but not really, and eventually I am able to complete the login to my account but I would really like to see this stop.

How old is your phone? If it gets too old, you won’t be able to get the new app, because of security layers added in the newer versions of the app.

You can also delete the authenticator from your account temporarily but you’ll 'eed the security codes given at the first time you put them on.

The phone is definitely older. Like, 6 or 7 years old.

You mention in your other reply the security codes. I’m not sure I still those, is there a way to recover them so I could delete the app and install the latest?

Edit : I’ve tried to disable my authenticator

When connect to your account via the web page, complete the login/PWD and at the step with your authenticator, click on the “cannot access to my account” button. They’ll send you a text message to your mobile phone. Then they’ll ask for your password. And voilà. The authenticator has been disabled.
