Australian server ping issues

I am getting very bad server ping issues on Australian servers. Basically unplayable stuttering. Anyone else?

Yes, I am getting constant 250ms+ ping on Diablo 4 while getting 50ms on Diablo 3.

Definitely a Diablo 4 issue. I feel like they are connecting us to the US servers instead of Australian server. Boss fights are so laggy.

Averaging 50ms over which I thought was decent.

Do you have a VPN connected? That could mess up with the routing.

how weird, which city are you at? I’m connecting from Melbourne, 50ms on D3 no issues but D4 is 250+

I’m near the Gold Coast. Has been pretty stable for me all day honestly.

I’m in Brisbane and getting 250+ also. VPN is off. No other game has any issues for me

In Adelaide, ping averages about 40… but at least once every hour I get a really bad ping spike, and it almost always happens during a “boss” fight! lol

I’m having the same problems (brisbane close to CBD) and i’ve tried everything i can think of and i’m sitting at 125ms-250ms dropping to 50ms then spiking to 400+.

I have tried all these things
Run battlenet as Admin
uninstalled my VPN.
turned off my Antivirus and firewall
Allowed battlenet and battlenet setup and diablo 4 retail through my firewall
used comand prompt
“netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt”
“netsh winsock reset”
“ipconfig /flushdns”
reset my internet and network
changed IPv4 use pref dns 1.1.1.1 Alt DNS 1.0.0.1
unchecked use proxy sever for LAN
deleted battle net agent
updated my GPU
reinstall vpn and tried brisbane and sydney servers

And none of this has worked i also had these problems throughout the betas i’m close to just refunding and moving on but i’ll wait till launch day i guess.

same issue
diablo 3 15ping, and diablo 4 300 ping

In Perth, d3 is 60ms, d4 jumps from 80-250ms.

Ok so this probably won’t help everyone but a bliz employee Rinadar suggested I uninstall ROG gamer first (never knew I had it/used it) and it actually solved my issues completely I’m now at 35-40ms stable. Hopefully this can help someone else.

what’s ROG gamer? I don’t think i have this program.

Would like to add i am also struggling with this as well. I am using optus 5g home internet connected via ethernet and it jumps all over the place then when i use my optus mobile 5g connection connected via usb tethering it settles down I have no idea whats going on. I was able to do a path ping no issues but the traceroute timed out

These issues are serious.
Playing Diablo IV is suffering. Waiting for map loading, UI loading, crashes, dced and server down.
They won’t refund it if you played for over 2 hours.

They are. I’m from the EU and the IPs D4 connects to are American (owned by Google and in Kansas). Simply put: there are no servers outside the US. This is why you have 50ms instead of <10.

I enjoy the game other than the damn lag, but I’m so disappointed with Blizzard finding yet another way to f*** non-US players over.

I’m in Melbourne and I’m getting really bad lag spikes as well. Latency usually hovers around 50ms, but frequently shoots up to around 400ms. There’s a lot of rubberbanding as well which makes it almost unplayable. I’d say i’d get a lag spike every 10 seconds or so. I can’t consider harder content or Hardcore at all because lag is going to be the #1 cause of death for me.

I’m based in Perth currently - been having terrible latency to the D4 servers for about a week now. I can bare with it for dungeons somewhat but for Helltide events the desync is so bad I cant stay alive. I’ll try again for Season 1 but that’s it - this is a really bad joke, it’s an unplayable game. D3, although less demanding, runs fine as do other games.

I’m in Perth and this started happening say 2 days ago, Intermittant large latency spikes, As if im being dropped from the AUS server and Shifted to the US one (getting latency into the hundreds) then after a while it goes back to normal 78ms. Ive checked my modem logs and 0 dropped packets or connectivity issues. Checked with RSP and no issues with perth to sydney connecitons. So it must be on blizzards end.

Yeah in the last few days I have been getting random ping spikes of up to 1000 that can last for awhile and makes the game unplayable during that period. I’m on a stable gigabit fibre connection and don’t have this issue with any other games or programs.

seeing this exact thing from NZ too
